The intersection at 24th and 151st street is dangerous to walk across because cars leaving Safeway constantly turn into the crosswalks. I've nearly been hit several times walking to this Safeway.

I know someone who works at the deli, and the things theyve told me are very concerning. A cooler full of mold and un sealed pans of meat left exposed and likely contaminated, serving containers dropped on the floor being put back into the pile to be used for customers (sometimes by a manager), allergens like peanuts being carelessly allowed to spill into other foods, and an overall total lack of organization and general preparedness. The food also tends to lose its freshness over the time that it's out and being served, the fried chicken especially tends to look pretty iffy. On top of that, it sounds like theyve been raising food prices constantly, sometimes without updating price labels and leaving employees to be yelled at when customers don't get the price they expected

For those complaining in reviews about rude staff, remember you're in Redmond Washington. Not very nice folks here very often if the sun ain't shining. That being said, they are half and half here over the years. But I did have trouble with a gift card being unusable from here and neither safeway nor Visa will refund me, so beware. Also they shouldn't have had the store open when it was under heavy construction. :( very unsafe "safe"way

It's a safeway. It's good for, y'know, Safeway-related needs. Decent location, never seen it too crowded. Plenty of parking. Friendly employees.

I forgot my debit card at home and was going through the only check out line available at 5:30pm 10/10/23. Once realizing I told the check out clerk what was happening and he continued to scan things without acknowledging what I said. I asked him to please stop scanning things and mentioned I only had $140 in cash so to stop before that. I asked if I could pick things out from what I had that were priority hand then to him, and clearly annoyed he said " No, that'll cause a big problem. There's other people in line." And continued to grab whatever he liked, scanning relentlessly.I told him again I only had $140 to spend. He frustratingly said " what do you want me to do ?" I said " I want. You. To. stop before 140$" he then did a few more things and said "total is $141.31".... really? After I made it very clear bud.I put in my rewards number so thankfully the total went down. He then said " hey all this stuff needs to be put back, what do you expect me to do?"...I expect you to do YOUR JOB John.He then asked me to go grab a cart and put the remaining things he didn't scan in it. At this point I wasn't feeling very helpful but the lady behind me offered her cart and a friendly helping hand so I did help do Johns job for him.John did not offer any helpful suggestions, he didn't offer to grab someone else, he made the situation extremely difficult and as if it was excruciatingly inconvenient for him.On top of this he bagged things haphazardly including a milk carton on top of bananas. After all of that forgot to give me the 15 dollars in change he owed me.Safeway. I hope you know how John, the elderly grump of a man~ is representing your company.

Really frustrated with our experience today. Long story short my husband and I went to safeway to buy some non-alcoholic beer for me because I'm expecting and cravings. He was carrying it for me. We got to the register and I was grabbing my ID out because you still have to be carded for non-alcoholic beer. The cashier demanded both of our IDs and wouldnt accept looking at my partners ID in his hand kept trying to physically snatch it from him. We are both obviously over 30 years old my husband is almost 40. What the heck is this power trip store policy about carding EVERYONE are you going to deny me my sale if my child loads my groceries onto the belt for me? The law requires you to ID the person making the purchase. Yes you can deny sale if you believe they are buying for someone under age but an adult married couple shouldn't be harrassed like this trying to buy some damn non alcoholic beer. I'm just glad I didnt burst into tears until after I left the store and went somewhere else because hormones suck. The store really needs to rethink this policy and the actual REASON it's in place rather than punishing innocent customers who just want to make a purchase. There is a time and a place for that policy figure it out.

Redmond safe way is clean and well organized, Easy to find anything you need, fresh veggies and fruits, but... never go to the food section... because it's really unclean and gross, and foods are stale, unhealthy. Never buy Jojo from safeway , terrible taste. I guess it's fried in stale oil.The staff of this section are grumpy and angry.

every single time i go to this location to use western union i am treated like dirt, people passing me off, people being short with me, people acting like i am doing illegal activity. today 9/8/23 @ around 3:30 I was flat out denied service because she said the only person in the building that could do it was on register, and i had to wait in her long line just to ask her if she could do it for me eventually. Asked her to page someone over to western union and she refused walked away and denied me service all together. Furthermore they put western union out of service sign up just to not have to deal with it, because they had it up last time i was there and sure enough it worked, it was still up. just don't offer it at all if this is how your going to treat people that need the service.

Worst experience, they will shout at you that you misunderstand their actions when they shows a vague move, they will say many people are waiting for you while you are checking out. And they will say just take it after you wait for several minutes.

The checker didn't know the difference between a nectarine & a peach!! I asked the bagger to be gentle with my fruit & not put it on the bottom of the bag. She walked away & it was at the bottom, therefore was bruised & could get more damage, so I had to rebag while the checker watched & didn't help nor understand. I am available to train baggers to properly bag food.

Good deals and have everything, just like any other supermarket the products are not everything to review but it's the whole experience going and shopping there, the people are nice and they smile a lot to me that's important, you can find everything with different brands and varieties but that's normal, it's never too busy to a point that you're waiting in line to pay and that's one of my top priorities.

Awful customer service. Two ladies up front took my boyfriends ID and laughed at it right in front of him. I don’t think immature children should be working at Safeway.

I’m was a Safeway shopper but now Kroger owns every competitor Albertsons, QFC, Fred Myers and now Safeway. But I can say you can send large amounts of money thru their western union. It’s the only location that can give you $5,000. As moneytree can only give $3000. It’s a good to know fact!

A little pricier and smaller than the other stores around but it's a good place for a quick convenient stop if I need it.
