Our dog is family to us. VCA Redmond is great with our family pet for medical needs and boarding. Thank you Redmond VCA for your caring attention!

We took our dog at the Rose Hill VCA for years until we moved, and taking her to the Redmond location made more sense. Since we don't take her to doggie daycare and a lot of locations require this to board, we decided to check out the boarding at VCA for our family trips this summer. I was quoted a price of $43 for two 4-day boarding stints this summer, months in advance. When I received the boarding paperwork a few days before our trip, the listed price was $73/day with no explanation or notice. At that point, finding another location for her to board was not an option. The helpful staff member at the door when I brought her explained that they had unexpectedly raised the price just the previous week. When I phoned later, after paying my bill, about my frustration that my quoted price was not honored, it took weeks for someone to get back to me (despite the kind and understanding efforts of John, the receptionist, who is always helpful to the utmost). I asked if the quoted price could be honored and was told that may be possible in the form of a credit (not a refund -- but I was ok with this). I understood that there was a family emergency that called the manager away from some time. We again took our dog to board since our second trip, a couple of weeks later, was too close to find other accommodations given our busy schedule, and when I was billed for that stay, the discount ("honoring the previously quoted price") was applied with no verbal followup, in the amount of $24. Given that the extra charges for the first time were about $30/day over 4 days, this is just a meager attempt to honor the agreement when I booked boarding. Though we've had good experiences with the vet staff and anyone caring for our dog, I am disappointed that the management doesn't seem to care much about customer service or making things right. (To be clear, I understood I would be paying the new price for the second boarding, and didn't seek any discount on that, even though I booked both stays at the same time months ago.) I'll be looking for another place to board my dog because I don't feel like a valued customer at VCA.

Came here in a panic because our sweet girl was peeing blood. Everywhere was fully booked so we went in to urgent care right when they opened and they were able to squeeze us in!

While the overall staff was very helpful and friendly, the front receptionist person the one that's an older male(white/asian?) was not. He actively put me in a psychotic state just because I forgot my mask in my car because I was in such a rush from work to see my long lost cat snow angel(lost for 2 years) after I got an email notification that my lost cat was found. I rushed in the animal hospital but instead of a receptionist telling me politely to put on a mask I was met with a angry and anxious yell telling me to leave. This person basically yelled at me, did not apologies, proceeded to assume as nothing had happened. He put me in a psychotic episode. I had to leave the animal hospital for 10min and be at the side of the hospital just to reorganize myselfI have paranoid schizophrenia, all I wanted was my lost cat to be safe. I did not have to deal with my mental health issues that day also.I will never come back just because of this guy, sorry I just don't want to deal w/ him ever again in this lifetime.

I would recommend that you take you pets to ANY other Vet. These folks are the worst. Here is my experience from yesterday.
Redmond on Union Hill Road. They suck! I will never step foot in their clinic again and I’ve taken all my pets to them for 25 plus years.
I’ve been taking my dog to VCA Redmond on Union Hill since I got him 11 years ago. They are the only vet that he has ever known. When he got sick last week and didn’t get any better, I called VCA to bring him in. They told me they couldn’t see him and to call around to other Pet Emergency Vets to see if someone else could look at him. They were just too busy to see him. Too busy to see him?? Really?? I told them in no uncertain terms that if they couldn’t see him, then they could kiss my account good bye. They could not have cared any less.
I was eventually referred to Hollywood Hill East Vets in Woodinville by another Vets office. They were great and were able to get my pup in within a few hours. Fortunately, the pup is good and all is well, but VCA Redmond should be ashamed themselves. They certainly cannot be counted on if you pet need medical assistance. Their only function apparently is collect huge fees for routine care.

Dr. Dai is a nice doctor and gives valuable suggestions. However, there is a technician (I don't want to point out for privacy) whose attitude is really bad and very rude. when I took my 2ys old cat there for the first time, I gave them my breeder's contact information as they wanted to make sure she has been spayed. However, the technician called me next day and forced me to ask my breeder to provide the information they needed. Obviously, she had an unpleasant conversation with my breeder on the phone already. However, I understand that maybe the doctor asked her to do so, and it is her job although her attitude is really bad which sounds like I owe her something. I still call my breeder and asked for help. The breeder promised that she would call back, but she also felt mad that someone called her rudely when she was busy working. What's more, the second time I took my cat there for a health check, the same technician asked me again to contact my breeder to provide the spay information, I don't know what's going on, but I don't wanna bother my breeder again to acquire the information. When I got my cat, she was spayed, I can tell from the scar on her. and my breeder has provided the clinic information to them, I don't know what other information they really want, they just keep asking me to contact my breeder. moreover, the technician said they didn't have my cat's vaccine records, however, I've brought all my cat's vaccine records the first visit and showed them the records, and they had no concerns with that before. I insist that I've provided this vaccine information already last time. Finally, the technician argued that my cat's rabies vaccine is not current, however, I remembered clearly that the rabies my cat had taken last for three years. She only need to take the rabies every three years. Alright, as I don't want to argue anymore with the technician, I spend $35 to get a rabies shot at last. It's really an unpleasant experience. These conversations make me feel like they don't believe that I have my cat spayed and have given her all the vaccines, and they want to do the spay and give the shot again to make money!

Friendly management, Appt is required, have enough space for parking, medication is expensive than outside so I would suggest you get the prescription and buy medicine wherever cheap.

I have been bringing our pets here for over 15 years. The staff is very friendly and caring. The vets and vet techs have always been wonderful and kind towards our animals. We moved to another city but will still make the commute over the local VCA because the redmond vca is worth it. No bad things to say about this place!Update as of 2021:Suddenly one of our dogs that has only ever seen this vet is not welcome at this location without sedation because he nipped a staff member over 6 years ago, even though every time hes been there since then the staff has raved about how good he was and has 0 problems with him coming there. The groomer they had was the best but he has moved on and I'm guessing they must have lost all their good staff as they are now suddenly afraid of my dog over an incident that happened when he was a puppy. Naturally we are taking our three pets elsewhere from now on. Its a shame whatever is going on with this location.

FANTASTIC! My favorite vet of all time! Never been someone who can afford regular vet visits for my animals as I've always had a few (4 dogs and a cat now) but since finding VCA Redmond Animal Hospital I no longer worry about out of control vet bills or my animals getting hurt or sick and not being able to afford their care! The have wonderful programs for animals at all stages, payment programs and access to western and eastern (holistic) veterinary medicines. I would HIGHLY recommend!

This 5 star review is long overdue! Our dogs love the boarding facility here and we get photo update from instagram almost everyday when they are here. My GSD usually hates strangers but he always has such a good time here and it actually helped him learn how to interact with other doggies and hoomans. My smaller dog gets a lot of exercise and that’s exactly what he needs!

So far, so good. The staff genuinely cares about our cat and we are brand new to their clinic! Their exam recap is almost more detailed than the one I receive at a doctor's office. Happy with their service and prices thus far!
