ZenRock feels like home. :) It has a warm atmosphere, people, state of the art equipment, and rooms. I've been going there for the last three months (three times a week one-hour sessions) and have only great things to say. They really listen to you and help you achieve whatever goals you want at whatever fitness level you are at (including beginner). My own trainer (Mehdi Ansari) as well as all of the other trainers I witness there are super competent, knowledgeable, fun, and really dedicated to helping you. Mehdi has helped me lose weight, gain strength, confidence. Real results! He also trains my 13 year old son. He makes it so much fun for him too along with actual results. This place is so much better than other fitness places (I've tried big gyms in the past) because of the truly personal focus, fun, and privacy they give you. Highly recommended!!!! :)

Zenrock is a nice place to train. I train with Mehdi and he is an excellent trainer. I have received good results training with him. He is someone I would highly recommend. He has created a custom routine for me. He keeps adjusting it based on my response to the training.

I have been impressed with the Bellevue studio and especially my trainer Nick. He is knowledgeable and so encouraging. I have been recovering from an injury and he did a great diagnostic session and has done an incredible job finding different ways to modify the exercises to gain the best benefit! Highly recommend.

Hakan's broad knowledge of both nutrition and personal training allows him to bring a portfolio based approach to fitness. As a couple, he designs our sessions in ways that are curated to each of us while personalizing the weights accordingly so that we truly get to work out together. This shows his in-depth knowledge of the body and allows him to find exercises that work for each of us while also taking into account our various injuries/weak areas. Hakan knows when to push us harder and when to cut short an exercise based on our responses. He truly makes it fun to workout with his style and personality.Hakan has made himself available to us out of the studio for nutritional guidance, workouts to perform while traveling and even offered remote sessions. We are both thrilled with the results we have seen and can't wait to get even stronger in the months to come.

ZenRock is a very nice fitness facility for personal training. I have been going there for over a year now and I really like it. I work with Mehdi, who is a great trainer. I explained my fitness goals to him and he then created a custom routine for me. He keeps improving and adjusting it based on my response. With just right amounts of weights and reps I am seeing a difference in my body. Highly recommended!!

I’ve been training with Mehdi at ZenRock for four years. He does a great job focusing on form and adapting the workout to your needs. It doesn’t matter if your goals are to gain strength, lose weight, stay active while pregnant, etc. he will work with you and present the right challenges to help you reach your goals.

I'm a 10-yr. client of ZenRock Fitness & absolutely love it. Their dedication, knowledge, follow through & the personality of the business & its trainers is truly unique. I'm thrilled Petra has opened a 2nd ZenRock Fitness in Bellevue. The facilities are inviting, stream lined & professional with lots of room for trainers & clients alike. I was personally referred to Irina by my Redmond ZR trainer based on our personalities & we're really enjoying the workouts together. There's no skirting around my workout as Irina is incredibly knowledgeable, committed to my success & lots of fun, however, she keeps me on task. If you're looking for a dedicated & excellent group of knowledgeable & fun trainers, beginning with ZenRock's owner, you've come to the right place. You'll love it & even more so because it's quite multi-cultural & multi-lingual - in addition to English, of course, Russian, French, and I believe Cantonese & Mandarin are all spoken there. I started training at ZenRock with Mehdi 2.5 years ago, and I wouldn't go anyplace else. As other reviewers have noted, the ZenRock studio is the antithesis of big box or franchised gyms: it's peaceful, well-appointed, and consists of a few separate areas so that only you and your trainer are using the space. And then there's Mehdi: I can't imagine a trainer who is a more perfect combination of patience, good humor, tough love, and expertise. I have had a tendency to hurt myself outside of the gym, and Mehdi has done an incredible job of getting me through these injuries by modifying my workouts to incorporate physical therapy, so that I'm able to keep moving while I heal. I highly recommend both him and the ZenRock studio.

I moved to the Redmond area over six years ago. Having been a member at all the various brand gyms over the years, I was looking for something more personal and less crowded. Zenrock is the place! All the training is one on one. I have been training with Mehdi Ansari for the last five years and couldn't be happier. His background in fitness and bodybuilding allows him to design specific exercises to challenge me beyond what I think I can do. My flexibility and strength are comparable to my days playing college baseball. Mehdi also helped me recover from a heart attack four years ago. I can honestly say that without his help, I would not be able to continue playing competitive baseball against players 20 years younger than me.

I've been training with Mehdi for a couple years now at ZenRock. He has been extremely helpful along the way. He has a ton of knowledge about human anatomy, bodybuilding, how supplements and hormone levels/lab results affect performance, diet, as well as exercise. We started out getting me back into shape by doing low weight higher repetition exercises to increase my endurance. Eventually after reviewing progress, we shifted to adding muscle and building physique and I saw results rather quickly. Mehdi's approach for me includes a lot of stretching and mixing up sets of increasing weight with core exercises, usually focusing on a couple of primary muscle groups per workout. Extremely positive, even when I am not feeling it. I always leave feeling better than when I got there. I have had personal trainers before, and Mehdi surpasses them by far.The staff overall at ZenRock is amazing. The wife and I have attended a group trip that focused on yoga, diet, and outdoor activities with Nova, who is also fantastic.The trip was memorable and while different kinds of exercise than I usually do, was refreshing.The facility itself is smaller - but it's not an open gym. You are only there during your personal training time, which is nice because you aren't competing for equipment or attention. I personally supplement my routine with another gym for individual workouts, but those workouts are also taken into account for overall goals and you always get great advice and feedback. The crowd is a mix of people, eve couples, but tends to be a more mature crowd. I've never felt more comfortable - the staff kind of treats you like family, and I'm pretty sure all of the other trainers know me by name at this point, even if they haven't worked with me at all.If you're looking for a focused place to get you back into it, or feel like you have specific goals you want to accomplish, or maybe need a little more attention due to previous injuries ir health concerns, or want to avoid crowded equipment or bros flexing in the mirror next to you, I couldn't recommend a better place than ZenRock.

This review is for Hakan - I used to get knee pain every time I did any leg workout after many sports injuries over last decade. I worked out with Hakan at Zen Rock and in few months last year he totally transformed my knee strength and stability . From having lot of knee pain with simple leg exercises to now able to do 300+ lb squats and deadlift with no pain in my home gym, it feels incredible . Thanks Hakan for working out with me at Zen Rock Fitness and helping me back to more strength and knee stability. The nutrition suggestions also helped me lose 10lbs . I no longer workout at Zen Rock fitness but it’s a great place to be.

I have been consistently attending personal training classes at ZenRock for over 2 years and have enjoyed the experience. The workouts meet my needs, challenge me and provide a nice small space environment that has been so beneficial especially during the pandemic. If you are looking to take your exercise goals to the next level this would be a great choice for you.

What a great place to workout!I had some shoulder surgery and really wanted to get strength and stability back in my arm.I worked with Jen and she is amazing. She put together a great program that absolutely allowed me to get stronger, drop a belt loop in size and feel better.There’s no stress while working out at Zen Rock— no one to judge you or intimidate you.I also felt really safe, even during COVID, because of separate rooms and lots of space.

Been working out here for a few years. All the trainers do a great job of keeping focus on the clients goals. They all make sure your technique is right so you don't get hurt. Hakan has been working with me for a while and does a great job . I have shoulder and lower back concerns and they both feel better and stronger. I look forward to the next workout everytime I leave. I’ve been training at ZenRock for over 5 years, and have been very happy. I’ve had sessions with most of the trainers on staff, though I train primarily with Britt, who has continued to be creative and challenge me in new ways to keep me engaged and progressing. I’m stronger than I’ve ever been and have become a competitive power lifter in my late 50s!The trainers at ZenRock are very knowledgeable and meet you where you are and can take you where you want to go, whether that means recovering from injury, competing athletically, or improving your physical fitness and mindfulness. ZenRock handled the pandemic very smoothly, pivoting to video sessions and continues to provide virtual sessions as desired.ZenRock is welcoming place where you can get a good workout without distractions, without having to wait for equipment, and with an attentive trainer.
