Updated: Sadly, it is rare in this day and age, for a women to be able to go to an auto repair place and be treated with respect. Auto Pro has always treated me extremely well and and they are very fair and honest. I trust them fully, and Jonathan is super knowledgeable and a genuinely nice guy. I have been going there for many years. Very nice, quality service and they did exactly what they said, when they said they would. One of the very rare times I didn't feel like a repair shop was trying to take advantage of me. I will definitely be back!

My gf's mom recommended this place, the owner is my gf cousin. We went here back in December 24. Great service and excellent pricing, I'll definitely recommend this place for any car issues

Their prices are excellent, they have great comprehensive knowledge and they look for little things that they can fix such as license plate lights.
They do a great job.
Had my valves adjusted and my transmission flushed and new spark plugs and some other things.
My car has never been so quiet or so responsive! Mpg went up significantly!
Definitely recommend using them!

If I could give this place zero stars, I would. Encouraged by the many positive reviews, my husband took his work SUV to Auto Pro in February. His car would not start and needed to be towed to the shop. He requested the shop fix the suspected issue and address any other problems found. The suspected issue was immediately fixed but the car still would not start. The owner told us they would continue to investigate but the shop was currently scheduled out and he would fit repairs in when he could. After that it became MONTH after MONTH of runaround. We would call every other week or so to be told that they didn’t have a chance to work on it. After a month or so of that, the owner finally conceded to putting us on the schedule. He promised every time we called that he would call us back with an update, but he NEVER did. When we called, the calls frequently went unanswered. The owner also told us that they had no way to check voicemails, which was confounding. When we did manage to track him down, he told us nothing they had tried had worked and it was a “real mystery”. Finally in JUNE we decided to tow the car to another shop just up the street. This shop called us the day after dropping it off and told us the distributor was put on wrong and it started right up after correcting. It took ONE DAY to repair. They couldn’t believe the story we told them about our experience with Auto Pro. We now know that the shop probably never really spent any time working on our vehicle. I would recommend steering clear of this place.

My friend told this is their family regular auto repair store and I went to this place twice. Highly recommend this place, they are very nice and honest people and they didn’t over charge me. I also recommend my friend who lives nearby comes over this store.

Messed up a simple oil change by screwing the bolt in too tight. In doing so they cracked my oil pan and I now need a new one to the tune of almost $500. A much more expensive problem than the original oil change cost. Don't ask to have us come in to fix your mistake. If I can't trust you to do a simple oil change I'm not going to let you touch my car again.
UPDATE: Because of the expense and their offer to replace our oil pan for free. We have swallowed our pride and allowed them to make the fix. Here's hoping things are right as rain. If so, I will further adjust the rating accordingly.

First, it is hard these days to find an honest and quality vehicle repair shop. Over the past 30 years we have had many vehicles and have tried many different repair shops. That is, until we used Auto Pro in Renton.
We have been taking our cars to Auto Pro for years and are a very satisfied customer. They are very honest and have NEVER over charged for the work. We know, because we had other shops and dealerships give us quotes that included parts and services that were over priced or not needed to fix the issue. They also use new OEM parts upon request. Again, many times at less cost to us than the dealership quoted.
The only exception to their great service was on one occasion, when a hose was not clamped down tight enough, causing us to tow the vehicle back to their shop. That said, they went Above & Beyond to make it right for us.
If you are looking for a great shop and one you can trust, we highly recommend that you give Auto Pro a try.

I like going to AutoPro in Renton for a few reasons:
1. The price for an oil change costs about half the price than two places I used to go; Walker Mazda and The Garage (in Renton).
2. The past couple times I have gone, I'm never upsold on anything or surprised of some issue I didn't even know was a problem.
3. Zero frills. I make the appointment for what I ask to be what is done and it is done. There's no "90 point" inspection or "free tire inspection and free battery test".
4. The issues I already was aware of match up with what is pointed out to me. For example, I know my brake pads are near replacement and that was pointed out to me on my last oil change.
5. I'm not camping out the entire day - For example, other car repair/maintenance facilities I've gone to, somehow an oil change is an all day event or half day event. Here, I show up and it's about the same amount of time as you'd expect from a Jiffy Lube except without the upselling and it's done right the first time.
As long as the prices are very affordable, the job's done right and there's no fear-mongering upselling, I'll go here for much of my basic maintenance that I cannot do myself. It has the feel of a very good gas station garage which is refreshing.
