Came in with online offer but no appointment and they were able to get us in and out in an hour. My offer amount was the same as quote and I walked out with check same day. They handled all the paperwork and let us know what we had to do to wrap the sale up. They even topped up one of my sister's car tires while we waited! Excellent customer service from each employee we interacted with.

The buying experience was great. It would be better if I could get a service record of what was done to the car. My understanding was that Car Max performed an oil change for all their cars. But nothing in writing for record. What other things was done besides the inspection.

It was a great no pressure experience as my wife had already went online and did the hard part. I just had to drive the truck and if I like it take it home. They even gave me a good price for my trade in. Charity at the Renton was short of nothing but amazing since we did come a day before our appointment just to sneak a peak. All said and done I love me new truck and have been recommending Carmax to coworkers

Bought a car and made the mistake of not having a mechanic check it. It has SO many issues. With less than a year of owning it. They sold me a car that has a leak in the floor boards, needed a whole oil housing unit replaced, new rotors, a power lift that stopped working…told it had remote turn on, but when I called, it’s too old a model to work. Nagivation is so outdated I don’t use it. happy almost one year anniversary to me. Have a mechanic check before you buy a car. Because they sold me a car that barely works and now I’m stuck paying for it.

Awesome customer service. Fast and convenient. Deal is fair. It should be noted that if you are selling a leased or financed car they will need to call your lender to verify the buyout amount and some lenders don't work on weekends. So be sure to have them call the lender during weekdays even if the transaction won't take place until a later time. I wish that their staff could let me know of this ahead when they finished appraising the car.

It has been a downer experience many atimes with Narcissistic people working there especially service department employees. ERIK is the worst with bad attitude, disrespectiful, with poor communication skills and discriminatory.

Extremely poor customer service3 months down since I purchased my car, there are critical issues that are yet to be addressed. I call the customer service every day and they always promise to help sort my issue out. However, that's never done. It's so frustrating ?

My experience is still in progress. The first vehicle I got had several issues with paint coverup that turned up after the first week. There were a couple items noticed initially and Carmax offered to get them fixed. However, while It was very hard to notice until spending time with the vehicle, the issues were much worse than expected. The response from Carmax has been outstanding. Another vehicle is on the way and should be here by 2/10/2024.We are very appreciative by the Carmax process and response to the issue with the first vehicle.
