Yusef is wonderful to deal with. A true local bank atmosphere that we are missing in this age of electronics.

Tried to use their app last week. It randomly requests that a verification code be sent to your phone or a representative calls with a verification code. Security measures are understandable but unsure how this is helpful as the code or call goes to a number of your choice. After several attempts and never receiving a code, I called the bank, and after being on hold for almost 10 minutes (hold times are ridiculously long; puzzling since the branch never seems overly busy and they always find time to hound me via text regarding various services they offer) a very nice representative “fixed” the problem. I was able to use the app but I received codes the next afternoon from my many attempts. Tonight I attempted several times to make a mobile deposit. Pictures of front/back of check were very clear but I got a message asking me to try again later (“later” as in after automatic withdrawals fail to clear my account because their system isn’t working?) as there was a system error. Been banking here for years and service used to be excellent but has gone steadily downhill. Their big remodel/update is meaningless if customers have to endure ridiculous hold times and their mobile banking is unusable and unreliable much of the time. A bank employee will respond to this with the usual generic and sappy response, I’m sure. Skip that and simply ensure your mobile banking system is usable and customers can reach a representative in a reasonable amount of time. Please.

First Financial Northwest Bank is your local bank with a personal touch. The branch manager in Marysville WA Felica Crider has demonstrated her personal touch when it comes to banking. She is available by phone to answer questions if you dont bank with them and even more diligent when you do to ensure your account is safe and sound. Felica promotes their business is a positive way and the atmosphere at the bank is a unique experience. Most banks you walk into with a security guard, plexi-glass, and a dividing line between you and everyone else. First Financial is an open and welcoming atmosphere and you will be treated like family.

I've been banking here for years. Building is much nicer, cleaner and the general atmosphere more professional yet they've managed to retain the feel of a hometown bank; employees are courageous and professional, they remember your name, very rarely any wait time and if there is, there is comfortable seating available; usually with a receptionist that is happy to get you a cup of coffee or water, and there are a variety of financial services available. Parking lot is small but space is usually available. Plenty of on street parking. Parking garage is available; small with a limited amount of spaces and very hard to maneuver around in if you are driving anything but a motorcycle. The reason I gave one star and the reason I'll probably be banking elsewhere in the very near future; they have removed the drive-thru. Drive through ATM is still available; apparently with new features that allow you to make deposits but there is no teller available. Their excuse; there were only a few people a day using this service. Seriously??!! This is one of the most ignorant statements I've heard from a business!! It's not like they have to have a teller sitting there all day; I would think some sort of a buzzer could have been put into place. Apparently that's too much bother. This leaves the distinct impression that their new remodel, while a nice upgrade, has left an important segment of our community out; the elderly and the disabled. There are the required number of disabled parking places out front. However, it's sometimes an exhausting chore for someone with mobility issues (especially those using a van with a lift system) or other mobility aid to get out of their vehicle to come inside. For people suffering from respiratory issues, battling cancer or other unseen health issues, it can be equally difficult to come inside. It's often difficult for some of our elderly to come inside; especially during unusually hot or cold days. I could go on and on with a hundred other obvious reasons to have a drive-thru. Bottom line; a message is sent that not all members of our community are important or even welcome here. A drive thru is a standard, not to mention courteous and inclusive, feature of most other banks. Unless I'm missing something or there is a service I'm unaware of, I'm totally disgusted. 6/16/2020 I had a simple account question. I was placed on hold for more than 20 minutes before finally giving up. In a time of social distancing, when we're encouraged to use online or phone resources, this is the best they can do?! They don't give you an approximate hold time, not even decent music, just a screechy voice repeatedly thanking you for your patience. Maybe spend less time on interior/exterior cosmetics and more on customer service improvements? Can't the person that usually greets customers and points out the free cookies and coffee perhaps man the phones?

Stay away at all costs. I originally went with them because they had little to no fees for business banking. If you plan on using Online Banking, don't bother - their website has constant issues and their customer support is very limited and not available during the weekends or evenings. They had a migration to 2-fac authentication in early 2020 that prevented me from accessing my account (continues to do so today).

The day my financial institution charges a 6$ ATM fee is the day I fire them. An excessive charge here points to excessive charges elsewhere. I'm confident they do not care about their clieneteles financial well being.

These guys are GREAT. I have absolutely no idea why anybody in their right mind would stick with one of the many god-awful big national banks. I've been going here since WAMU was absorbed by Chase in 2008 and have been smiling ever since. Best move I ever made.

This bank is amazing! Iv'e never said that about a bank, or even a credit union before, but it is simply amazing! Normally my opinion of a credit union is neutral at best, and a bank would rate much lower, but if you want to be blown out of the water with customer service, this is the bank for you. The staff normally recognizes me even though I only go in once a month. They are friendly and professional. The bank is cleaner than most in Renton, with amenities and niceties you don't find in other banks. Rarely is there a wait to see a teller. It's easy to get in touch with someone live over the phone that is actually located in the bank in Renton on those rare occasions when you need to. No dealing with out of the country script readers that can't solve your problem, don't care, and can't be understood. This is the only bank for small business owners! You know how some banks spend millions of dollars advertising how they care about your small business? Me thinks they dost protest too loudly. Those banks could learn quite a few things from First Financial Northwest Bank. First Financial Northwest Bank actually cares about small business and doesn't waste there powder shouting about it. Shortly after setting up our fist business account with them we were having a problem with remote deposits. A few calls and one visit to them later we did not have a solution. Most banks would give up by then and say it's your problem you fix it, but this bank came to us to fix the problem. I don't mean they had tech support call us, they physically cam to our office to fix the problem! Never had a bank give that kind of service before.
