tldr from member perspective: their operations are not smooth and will waste your time. Particularly if you are moving regions and had KP in your old home region too.1.) they don't seem to have good internal processes to facilitate initiating members into new regions of KP under special enrollment process. Absolutely terrible. Wasted many many minutes of both kp reps' time (60+ minutes) just to setup separate care provision (MyChart) and payments (pyonline) accounts. There must be 100s+ KP members who change regions. And had KP in old region. Have KP in new region. KP must have better processes in place to facilitate transfer process. And when they finally do set you up in their IT systems for "My Chart" it won't have any of the data from your KP health record in your prior region(s).2.) the washington region in particular seems to have more member service reps than i'm used to who have poor basic communication skills. they're not good at paraphrasing, at buying time, at explaining situations, at expressing empathy. This is basic stuff that's lacking. also, several reps are working on phone lines that have very long delays so these reps need to wait an inordinate amount of time before they can speak and vice versa. Not good.P.s. kind of laughable kp's response is to contact them directly to "protect my privacy." I've provided more than enough detail here for kp to fix what needs to be fixed.

It's a neverending round robin of phone trees. Pharmacy always out of meds it seems. Can't call em directly. Always a problem trying to get meds filled. Never ready on time.

Call wait times to reach Kaiser have been 35-50 mins for most things at Kaiser based on calls both my co-worker and my self have needed to make.Kaiser has taken "Group Death" to a whole new level.Their union alleges that systemwide under-staffing is boosting Kaiser’s profits but hurting patients by leading to longer wait times and mistaken diagnoses. This has been my experience.

If you get contacted by an agency to work here DONT, they hire temps so you don’t get to be part of the union and have rights and they can trash you for absolutely nothing. Worst place to work, no integrity or morals. Don’t care about people’s livelihood and I could go on and on. Oh yea and don’t be black.

Renton KPUnderwhelmed with service. No privacy at pharmacy. Phone-confirmed, “ready for pickup” prescription wasn’t ready — so added another 45 minutes waiting with sick people. Parking sucks with challenging access and steep inclines. (Very difficult for those that are mobility challenged.)

The medical staff at Kaiser have been stupendous. The insurance side of this business is insidious. The lack of communication combined with their stealth at shifting costs onto paying customers is disgusting.

Nice place, traffic is difficult from ferry or Tacoma. Leave early

The administrative staff do not respond to complaints without contacting them multiple times and when there is a response they do not address the issue at hand (most likely because they did not have a good answer). I have seen the ranking of Kaiser compared to other HMO's or providers of health care and I see why Kaiser earned such low ratings.
