It's pretty alright if you know what you want. There's allot of bums so just be Cautious.

A nice selection of stores to shop from and several eateries. However beware of the Mexican restaurant the food there is terrible! So are their prices!
Also there's a little shop making Mediterranean food and gyros but his tzatziki is lacking severely in flavor!

I go to the fred Meyer quite a bit there. It has gotten somewhat better than about a year ago with theft and such. Still happens but the security seems like they are pretty hip to it all fortunately
