I drove by their establishment to get an estimate on partial paint for my project car. I was greeted by a man behind the front desk who immediately asked, for what car? I pointed outside the window to my Subaru Forester, he then asked what year is it? And when I said it was a 2004 he responded “oh ok so very old” and we’re off with the terrible experience I had there.
I explained that I wanted some aftermarket parts painted and would like an estimate. Instead of an estimate, this person proceeded to tell me that “A gallon of our paint is $1000 and that doesn’t even include clear coat or buffing”, so according to his profiling, I am unable to afford any of their services.
I walked there to get an estimate, not to be profiled and told what I can or cannot afford based on what car I drive.
Just like that a customer is lost, and one that could have brought in lots of service referrals for them but hey. I’m sure they are doing great if they feel like they can turn customers away based on appearances.
Best of luck to them, do better.

I took my 2020 GMC Sierra to have the front bumper repaired after hitting a fawn. The bumper was pushed in on the right side and it was unclear whether the bumper was bent or just the brackets. I discussed my question on the extent of the damage extensively with the estimator. I paid for a written estimate to make sure I had a good idea of what would be involved. The estimate included a new bumper, along with brackets, and other misc parts, which the estimator noted the bumper was included because he did not want to have to have to raise the price. I felt that was reasonable; he didn't want to set expectations too low and then have to deliver bad news. However, when the repair was done there was no check to see if the bumper was actually damaged beyond the small indentation from the impact. When I picked up the vehicle I asked the estimator about this and he said he thought it likely bent but acknowledged they had not checked. I took the bumper home and measured everything and there was no difference in any measurement between the two sides of the bumper. It was not bent.
I raised my dissatisfaction to the estimator and manager. Their contention was that the bumper possibly would not fit properly and if that were the case, it would have caused additional work. My frustration is that the shop simply assumed the bumper would not fit properly but did not check as I asked. You can see the extent of the damage in the attached picture. A $2,200 repair that could have been less than half.
I chose the shop in part because they had good reviews. Unfortunately this experience was "typical" for auto repair shops.

This is my second time going to renton collision center, and they never disappoint with the results. Beautiful work and paint match perfectly. Also, with the confidence of being subaru certified, why would you go anywhere else but here. My #1 pick for body shop

We took our VW here for a rear bumper fender bender repair. The experience could not have been better. The whole process was smooth, the communication and professionalism was top notch. They worked with our insurance company perfectly and were very knowledgeable on the whole process. We will definitely return although hopefully we won’t need to!

I am astonished with the level of service, expertise, and professionalism at Renton Collision Center.
The repairs to my Outback are fantastic. The bumper is perfect, and they repaired the blind spot sensor so it functions as if the accident never happened.
RCC made the process completely painless. The estimate was fair and honest, they were transparent and responsive the entire time, they worked directly and effectively with the insurance company, and they communicated with the rental car company to make that process seamless and easy. The car was done ahead of schedule, and was immaculately clean when I got it back.
Nobody wants to be in an accident, but if you are, RCC will make repairing the damage as painless as possible. If I ever need body work done again, I will call them immediately.

I had my car towed to Renton Collision after it was totaled by an uninsured driver. The employees were very kind and empathetic about my situation, showing an insane amount of patience with me. My car meant the world to me and one of the staff even helped me take the modified badges off of it for sentimental keeping. Renton Collision went above and beyond for me, thanks guys.
