May be worst experience I have ever had with a retail service place. About a month ago, made an appointment to get a tow hitch installed. Never got confirmation and I had to call them to see why. They told me that they were still waiting for the parts. Hmmm, good thing I called because they did not call me. Made another appointment. Another delay because of parts, but at least this time they called in advance. 3rd attempt was today. I get there and they tell me their installer quit. Hmmm...was I also supposed to know that before driving all the way down to the store? I just them to forget about it...I have been trying for a month to get this done. Obviously I chose the wrong place.

Uhaul had assigned this location for my Auto Transport pickup even though my truck rental was originated in Ballard. When I called this location, the A** Mgr Ryan stated he understood the inconvenience of this and stated he would be willing to meet me at anytime, morning or evening, before/after hours. Ryan had agreed to meet us at 545 on 4/28. He no-showed. Cool man!!! When I called during regular hours the gal was very helpful but explained that "it was typical" of his behavior. Thankfully the ballard location had an auto transport and was able to get it transferred over to me. Why is this POS even working there still... Poor form!!!

It's amazing how much a good interaction at a store can make your day better. The two people running the desk at this U-Haul, Brittany and Jeremiah, made the entire experience chill and enjoyable. From the moment I called to reserve a truck, to renting it, and then returning it, I got a glint of excitement to talk with that crew again. I have been forced to move alot as of late and the experience is never a good time, but I actually didn't dread every second of it, thanks to them. If you have to move in or around the Renton, WA area, I don't think you could find a better pair to talk with and get a truck from.Not only was the business interaction great, but I can tell that Brittany and Jeremiah are genuinely good people. Truly the best truck rental experience. Which is not a phrase I'm sure gets said often but it is the truth!

I reserved a 17 ft truck a week in advance. Two days later they switched to a 20 ft truck that I don't want. Do I have to move the date to Tuesday. The original plans for Sunday. My old home and new home are 6 miles apart. We lived 1 1/2 miles from Uhaul. So the most we can drive between these places is 27 miles. They charged us 70 miles. It's cheating. I will never go back here! Very dishonest and unprofessional business practices

If this is the location by Discount Tire and the cemetery, this is the correct location (photo doesn't look the same). I went here 2 times - first time, waited 45 minutes to buy 7 boxes. Extremely disorganized, but whatever. Things happen. The second time, was last weekend. Two people at the counter - the same lady (Eva?) and some guy who didn't seem to know which way was up. 2 guys in front of me and still took about 25 minutes to buy 7 boxes, and STILL didn't even leave with them. Here's why: the guy behind the counter finally finished what he was doing to help me, and started to talk to the girl behind the counter, asking her if she got his text. He then started talking about how things would be much better if this was like this and that was like that, and literally stopped what he was doing (which was helping me - the customer) and turned to talk to her. The dirty laundry of this location all of a sudden, spilled out all over the place as I sat there, tapping my credit card on the counter, waiting to pay for the 7 boxes I came in to buy. 25 minutes turned into 35, then Eva was cussing about how "f*cked up this place is..." I said, "all I want is my boxes". The total FINALLY came across the POS and I put my card into the chip reader and entered my 4 digit PIN. it said "remove card", so I did. card didn't go through - at least that's what guy-who-couldn't-multitask-or-focus said. I had to do this 2 more times - insert card, enter PIN and remove card. He then, took my card and manually entered the # as a credit. Gave it back. STILL didn't go through. Asked me AGAIN, to insert card and enter PIN. Reader said, approved and remove card. As I'm standing there, he's still carrying on a conversation with his co-worker, so I grab my boxes and walk out. As I'm one foot out the door, I hear, "transaction failed!" So I drop the boxes there and tell him I'm calling my bank to make sure they didn't charge me 5 times. When I drove off, I called and, sure enough, 5 transactions were "pending" (4 POS and 1 credit card), so I reversed and blocked all transactions from UHaul. This place makes you want to shower after you leave. It's gross, and the people are rude. Coupled with not knowing how to use their computers (or they're trying to be slick in overcharging.. which failed, nonetheless).

Came here to rent a U-Haul when I was moving, the guy told me not to worry about refilling gas for it, but later texted me on my personal cell phone asking if I was married. I just wanted to rent a U-Haul and don't have time for this nonsense. An employee should not even be able to take personal information to contact you later if it's not business related. Tell me about your experience if you've been here or is going to after reading this review:)

I don't know how many people are aware that you can hire movers through Uhaul at a very reasonable price. Be cautious! I hired them to do a short distance move. When they were unloading, one box in particular was very heavy. The man asked me what on earth I had in the box. I just laughed and confessed that my jars of coins were in it. Fast forward 2 years when I finally finished going through and unpacking all my boxes. The coins are gone. Too late to file a complaint, but a word to the wise..... Don't be too trusting.

Poor customer services and the employees don't seems to understand common sense. Pro tip, buy your own truck and trailer to save yourself a headache.

I am moving and rented from this place twice in the matter of a week. Both times, they forgot my dolly and I had to go back for it. Not a huge issue, but annoying. The part that ruined it was when we were running late. I tried calling the number on my contract to let them know that we were running late by about 45-60min. I waited on hold for 20 min. In the meantime, they called and left a message on my husband's phone saying that we were late (it was 15 min past at this point) and gave another number to call. I called that line to explain. The store manager answered and was incredibly rude. She was telling us that someone else was waiting and now she had to pay them $50. Not sure why they did not build a buffer at all and scheduled back to back? Then she proceeded to yell at me because I couldn't get past the hold system to let them know that we were running behind. She was terribly rude and I will definitely take my business to another uhaul next time.

Very fast professional service. I came in needing a 9' ft cargo van to haul my bed and bike from my previous house to my new one. I estimated 10 miles round trip and I was 100% right about the mileage. Got a great discount and everything worked out under budget. Best uhaul experience I've ever had.

Terrible customer service. After I scheduled to have U Haul drop off my pod container--which they did--I then scheduled to have them pick it up. Well before the pick up date, I called them at least twice to see if they can make sure to notify me once the driver pulled up and before they hauled the pod container away to make sure I packed the container properly (to avoid damages). I called them again the day before the scheduled pick up and twice the morning they were scheduled to pick up the container. Each time, a U Haul representative assured me that I would be contacted before they took the container away. Well guess what?!? Suddenly, in the afternoon of the scheduled pick up day, I receive an email indicating that they've already taken the container! I then called U Haul in Renton and explained to them that I do not have a car and taking a taxi would be costly. The manager there was kind enough to pay for my cab fare but did not reimburse me for the 2+ hours I spent going down and then returning from Renton to Seattle. I don't plan on using U Haul the next time I move. Despite multiple complaints filed online, I received NO RESPONSE. They just treat you like another number.
