How does a 120K check up for my 2016 Legacy go from a $1700 estimate to over $7000?!?! I was absolutely FLOORED. I should've listened to my gut and not gone back after they "forgot" to call me to let me know car was ready after having it for 2 days the last time I brought it in. Transmission was already replaced for $3K a few years ago. Is the car a POS or is the service dept lacking? Time to cut my losses

Cost to replace the rear wheel bearings + an oil change was 25% higher than the estimate I received. Customer service was lacking. I'd I like to give them a good review because we've had good experiences in the past, but this time I was very disappointed.

The car buying process here was fine. But their service department is awful. They charged us $150 to "diagnose" our tires that were losing air. The "diagnosis" was that we needed two new tires, shaving the other two tires, and alignment, so it would have been an additional $528. We took our car to Les Schwab (Les Schwab is awesome BTW). He looked at the tires and in 2 seconds said, you have a screw in each tire, you must have driven through a construction zone. They fixed them both absolutely free!We also needed our windshield replaced and the service center said it was out of stock and needed to be ordered. But they forgot the part about ordering it because we waited for a few months and still no windshield. So I called Safelight and they replaced our windshield the next day!! And they did a great job. I had called Walker Subaru several times. Funny that the service manager was always "out." And he must be on a permanent vacation because he never returned any of my calls.Save yourself a headache, go anywhere else to service your Subaru. Charging customers $150 to lie and say they needed new tires, when they absolutely didn't, is shameful. Our tires are fairly new and definitely didn't need replacing. Walker Renton Subaru: You can do better.

I loved my Job at Walkers Renton Subaru. I was with the company for 3 years and I genuinely loved the time I got there. Great pay plan and it gave me the opportunity to learn the sales world.

I received my new 2023 Subaru Forester from Walker's Renton Subaru. I am an American Express Gold Card Member, and it came to my attention that AMEX offers a program called TrueCar Inc. This program helps you find a local dealership to purchase or lease or sell your vehicle. Since this was my first-time leasing, I reached out to my mother in California and informed her about this program. She has 20 years of American Express Platinum membership. On August 21, my mother contacted TrueCar and spoke with a nice lady named Arielle. Arielle gave my mother all the information, answered every question, and advised which dealerships in the state of WA would be able to assist us to lease a brand new 2023 Subaru. At that time, they were very limited on the Forester model as it was in demand which was the model choice I wanted to lease. Looking at the TrueCar website, the only complaint I had was that it was difficult to filter the choices between leasing vs buying a brand-new vehicle. With much frustration, my mother reached out to Arielle who went beyond her duty on a Saturday. Arielle was able to find the location of the only two 2023 Subaru Forester models to be shipped from California to Walker's Renton Subaru. My mother visited me for a limited time frame, Arielle was made aware of this, and she was able to explain to her how to expedite the leasing process. On August 23, Omid Ahmad answered my mother's phone call and spoke to her for approximately an hour inquiring about leasing the new 2023 Subaru Forester. I personally want to thank Alec Walker, the Sales Manager, for Walker's Renton Subaru for allowing Omid to handle the transaction process, receiving the initial quote, and sharing the vehicle order status/pipeline. My mother, having previous leasing experience for 20 years with Mercedes Benz in Beverly Hills, was very pleased with Omid's professionalism, communication towards us, and his approach with understanding the AMEX TrueCar program. As soon as we agreed to the final quote for the vehicle as it was being shipped, that's when I personally started communicating with Omid on the leasing process.During this time when questions were raised, my mother spoke with Ryan from TrueCar, who was familiar with my mother's conversations with Arielle. When Arielle was not available, Ryan too, went beyond his abilities to address her concerns and also informed her of the incentives when leasing the vehicle. If you are interested in the program, this is their web address: amexnetwork.truecar.com.As a first-time lessor, I did not know what I was expecting when I visited the dealership with Omid. After speaking with him and leaving a deposit with the vehicle before I arrived, Omid kept me informed on every step of the process over emails and phone calls. Once he knew my mother arrived from California, he said the vehicle should be there around 3 days, and the vehicle was there in 3 days. On September 7, on the day of the dealership visit, we were greeted by this nice gentleman. The process only took up to 3 hours to finalize the documents and my mother commented how this was the smoothest leasing process with a dealership ever, especially coming from a different state. This is when I was introduced to the finance manager, Gil, who ran my credit and processed the lease terms.Like Omid, he was very communicative and thorough on what I will be paying on the agreement, including additional services and perks that Walker's will do during my lease contract. Being initially nervous as a first-time lessor, he was able to put me at ease by talking about good places to eat around the Seattle area because he was also from California too! If you ever want great tacos in Seattle, ask Gil!Mr. Alec Walker, I want to applaud you with your two great employees working at your dealership. I certainly will be coming back to do all my vehicle services at your location. Looking forward to seeing Omid and Gil just to say hi. Best,Saul Jr.

Your standard Subaru dealer. Pretty helpful and relatively easy to work with. I've had several odd issues that were covered by warranty, but it usually turner out to be a simple fix (software update or reset).I do like that they started using a SMS updates and communication, which makes it easy to see what's going on.You need an appointment for any service other than oil change for which they offer express service with the expectation that it will be done quick while you wait and drink your coffee and eat your popcorn. However mornings and weekends are very busy and there is a lot of waiting involved.

One of the reasons i purchased my car here was free loaners while your car is being repaired. I have had my car 2 1/2 years and only once have been able to get a loaner. There is also a known issue with the battery which resulted in a class action lawsuit. When I took the car in with a dead battery the first time, they refused to replace it unless I paid for it. My car is still under warranty. Now it's back in with the same battery issue and they tell me they have no batteries in stock and can't get one until next week and no loaner cars available. I could go to any auto parts store and buy a new battery faster than that.

I brought my Forester Wilderness in after running over a nail. I was told that it was irreparable. The service rep said that my only option was to buy a new tire. She said that, because of the tread differential, the replacement tire would need to be shaved to match the other tires. She told me that they put the spare on, and that I could not drive over 30 mph on it. She gave me a hard sell on the almost $600 replacement. I asked for her to bring the technician, who she had said made these recommendations, outside. He immediately refuted every single thing she told me. My existing tires had almost no wear on them and no replacement needed to be shaved. My spare was also a full sized tire (because I have the wilderness model). I later brought the punctured tire to a shop, who told me it was easily fixable. One of two things is true. Either A., (The service rep lacked any basic knowledge of my model and, more broadly, of tire repair) or B., (She was performing a willfully dishonest upsell.) Neither scenario is acceptable. I will avoid the Walker service department, if at all possible, in the future.

Be warned, if they break something during the service of your vehicle they will blame you for it and make you pay for the diagnostic service, which is $200. I took my car in for service on Friday and picked it up the same day. On Saturday morning I went to use the front camera and it was broken. Just a gray screen. I had used the camera when pulling in to the service section on Friday, so I knew that I had not broken it. I immediately made an appointment to have the camera repaired. On Monday when I took the car in the service folks immediately said that they did not cause the issue. I waited two days for them to do the diagnostic and I received a text message after I called in to ask about the state of my car, which led me to a link that said I needed to pay $800 to get this issue repaired. I called back in to get ahold of someone and I was told that they don't think that they caused this issue. I'm now waiting for a call from the manager. I don't see how I caused this issue. So, go to Walker's if you want them to damage your car and make you pay for it.

Friendly staff and they did a great job. I tried looking for a repair shop closer to home and maybe cheaper, but each ended up quoting me higher.

If I could give negative stars, I would.I brought my car in for a front passenger bearing. My car is old, rusty from winters in New England and high mileage. They recommended replacing all the bearings. For a car of this age, I typically only want to replace what is failing, and I trusted their judgement. When they started the repairs, they were not able to do them properly. After almost two weeks being in their shop, many days due to the Memorial weekend holiday and also waiting for parts to come in, I received a text that their technician grew frustrated and they gave up in the middle of repairs and pushed my car out onto the lot. It is no longer operable. They left me with a totaled vehicle with thousands of more dollars in additional repairs due to damage they caused. They "somehow" attached my wheel to my car without a bearing and pushed it onto the lot and told me to come tow it. The damage they caused to the knuckle was due to them using a sledgehammer and waling on it. Suburb Service inspected my car and left a review stating the rear passenger knuckle is improperly seated, I have a damaged steering rack and partially backed out and stripped bolts that were left as is.Totally unacceptable service. Don't go here. Go someplace else. I filed a case with Subaru of America and it went nowhere, they too are just out to protect their corporate interests. Never buying a Subaru again.

Brought car in for two recalls. Left it all day waiting for a call saying it was ready. I finally called to check and was told they didn’t have the parts for the recall. I changed my plans for the day to bring the car in, sat home all day without a car and still have to take it back another day to get the service done. I did have an appointment for the service and when I dropped it off they did not tell me they didn’t have the parts. It was a waste of my time.
