We just picked up our second puppy from Echo Hills Ranch on 5/5/24. Our first was an amazing dog throughout his life. So kind and lovable and zero health issues until his old age overcame him.
We were just at the ranch. Anyone suggesting they’re an unethical breeder has obviously never been to this ranch. Doesn’t know Donna and doesn’t know what they’re talking about.
Sure you could adopt if that’s what you want and don’t want. But what if you want a companion and is completely hypoallergenic? Do you go to the pound ? Then the ER ?
I am so thankful for Donna. She’s the shining example of what a breeder should be.
I’m sorry You have to put up with people that don’t have a clue. Your response is just another shining example of the caring person you are.

Just another POS BYB profiting off the selling of puppies! They breed at least 6 breeds including several varieties of doodles.
Echo Hills Ranch aka Donna Gates is a puppy mill plain and simple!
She is currently threatening to euthanize her personal dog, Blue, who is a HEALTHY 4 yr old “cockapoo” born with a genetic disease called megaesophagus which Donna Gates states “we will have to euthanize him which he is healthy and doesn’t deserve that so I’m reaching out to find a rescue that be willing to, take him in his special needs”
I have her Craigslist ad, Facebook post, and emails.
Donna Gates is a prolific puppymill, morally bankrupt, unethical breeder who does ZERO genetic or health testing.
She has had several calls for welfare checks for her dogs health and welfare and has been visited by the Stevens County Sheriff’s office.
Stevens county is a paradise for POS breeders like her because they don’t have a dedicated animal control enforcement agency and they don’t have county codes that limit the number of animals people are allowed so it defaults to the Washington State RCW of no more that 25 breeding pairs of adult dogs so 50 adult dogs and puppies under the age of 6 months do not contribute to that 50.
She is breeding for profit with zero regard for life or genetics. She breeds dogs until they can’t anymore and then she “retires” them by dumping them at shelters, rescues or she euthanizes the .
She bred Blue, which means that he likely is part of her breeding program or was at some point.
Megaesophagus is a GENETIC disease.
Adult dogs who are carriers of the megaesophagus gene can be symptomatic or non symptomatic.
When they are bred and produce ONE megaesophagus puppy every single one of the puppies that they have ever produced individually or together are ALL carriers of the megaesophagus disease gene.
If any of the adults or puppies are ever allowed to breed they will have puppies who present with megaesophagus and all of the puppies from any litter they have ever had are ALL carriers of the megaesophagus gene.
It will happen over and over and over again. We will not and cannot enable the irresponsibility of any person who chooses to breed and sell dogs to produce puppies with major genetic diseases.
Echo Hills Ranch aka Donna Gates is BYB breeder who charges $2000 per puppy and continually breeds five different breeds and various doodle mixes on top of those solely for greed; and is threatening to murder their own dog because she doesn’t want to deal with the megaesophagus disease her unethical breeding practices created for him to be born with and she is now threatening to murder Blue who in her own words is a HEALTHY dog with a well managed genetic condition that she bred because of her greed and apathy.
DO NOT BUY A PUPPY FROM THIS PUPPYMILL.

We got our first Schnoodle from Echo Ranch back when you could tour the place. Spud is charming and healthy and loves to fetch balls. We added another Schnoodle, Zelda two years ago. Meeting a driver in a fast food parking lot felt a bit like a drug buy on tv but we got a healthy, clean, socialized puppy just like the first Schnoodle. I totally understand keeping Parvo off the property and protecting the breeder’s kids but I’m glad the ranch was open when we got Spud. New customers are just going to have to take a leap of faith. It turns out our friend who got her Schnoodle three years before we got Spud also got her’s from Echo Ranch. All healthy, socialized dogs. My other friend who buys from the local pet store and thinks they aren’t puppy mill dogs has had bad luck with her dogs for 20 years, replacing one after another after they developed problems early that testing and ethical breeding would have greatly decreased the chances of happening.

Adopted my cockapoo a little over a year ago and couldn’t be happier. He has not had a single health problem and is my bestest friend. As a veterinary assistant, I have seen the horrific effects of bad breeding and worked hard to find a good, responsible breeder. Echo Hills Ranch seems like a very responsible, transparent breeder that works hard to breed healthy, good-tempered dogs. We need more of that in this world. Communication was great throughout the buying process as well. So grateful.

We are so grateful for Donna and her family's great care that they take in breeding wonderful family dogs. We have the sweetest, funniest schnoodle as a member of our family because of Donna. Can't recommend her ethics, operation and kindness enough.

I chose a male cockapoo that I named Spencer. He was a happy, loving puppy and dog. He lived for 16 years. He had very few health issues (cockapoos get yeast in their ears) and eye tearing (poodle issue). Spencer brought so much joy to my life and everyone who met him. He passed away June 21, 2021 from old age. He waged his tail to the end. Sorely missed.

Over the last year I have purchased two wonderful dogs from Donna at Echo Hills Ranch. Truthfully it was the best adoption experiences I have ever had. Both dogs were perfectly healthy with great temperaments and great personalities. Both of these dogs are a great addition to our family, they are happy, friendly, extremely intelligent, healthy and have great physical features and colors for the Pomsky and German Spitz breeds. Even my Vet commented on how healthy our dogs are and were impressed with their temperaments. You can tell that Donna breeds high quality dogs and puts a lot of love and work into her puppies and parents.I can say I sure felt like I was making a great decision in adopting forn Donna because of how open, upfront, and friendly she was. Honestly when I know people are looking for a new puppy, I will recommend Donna and her puppies without question or hesitation.Donna, thank you for our wonderful furry canine companions !!!

Easily the best people to adopt a dog from. Donna is great and was very communicative during the whole process. We got our Cadoodle in January and he’s absolutely the best dog ever. You can tell he knew nothing but love before joining us.If you’re wanting a designer breed but have been scared away by puppy mills, please use Echo Hills. If I could give 10 stars, I would.

It's easily a 5!!!! Donna communicated with us freely and helped us learn about our new pup, including personal experiences with our girl, included all relevant information in an easy to read pamphlet and bag, and had an employee meet with us who was also an absolute gem. What a wonderful experience with wonderful people!

Best experience ever! We really researched this farm before buying and also visited to see the living conditions of the dogs. We got our Schnoodle 2 years ago and we feel we got the best dog ever. Sweet, kind, loving, adorable and smart. We will definitely get our next dog from them when the time comes.

They seem to produce beautiful well adjusted puppies. People seem very interested in finding very good homes for their puppies. They provide great support and suggestions in training for house breaking and crate training. Good information.... Read More
