I had an urgent, last minute prescription need come in today. When I called to ask when it would be ready they let me know they were super behind and short staffed so they'd try their best to get it filled today. I called an hour before close to check if maybe they had the time to fill it during the day and they did! Went to pick it up and I could tell they seemed overwhelmed but were still very helpful and nice! I really appreciated their help getting my med even though they were so busy!

It's ok but they don't listen about issues when meds don't go through and why. They don't do much to help you solve the issue.

Have noticed they are getting a little better at not being rude. When first went here this year there was a counter person that really didn’t care about customers questions. Like why a prescription fill would be red dotted on their app as Fill Canceled? Pharmacy assistant/counter employee ended up denying it ever was in that status. Had the app screen up so he could see the communicated information for himself that the prescription was indeed canceled. This resulted in a frustrating response from him staring down during checkout. Acting like seeing the cell screen would be looking at the sun too long and even more devastating to his ego confirming he might actually be wrong. The interaction was concluded by him waving his arms around and saying Byeeee at the end of the transaction. Almost switched pharmacies at that point. Like if customer interaction working in a pharmacy is that stressful then find a different career.. Decided to see if things might improve as maybe not everyone would act that way.
Update: This pharmacy would probably be 5 stars if it wasn’t for this same counter guy with black hair. He basically treats customers like they don’t know what they are talking about doesn’t listen well when people are communicating to him so he jumps to his own conclusions. It’s happened twice now with this same employee. All the others are actually helpful and courteous and listen well with customers interactions and communication..
Do notice most days a different short 5’4 balding man that usually hides behind the tall shelf acts like he doesn’t really want to be there for whatever reason. On the other end of the spectrum the lead pharmacist (sort of looks like a younger Jeff Bridges) makes up for the short comings of others. He is usually nice and helpful even over the phone as can distinguish his voice. Although if you don’t line up correctly down the right isle he did freak out a lil in front of everyone.
Update: short guy - He’s actually a really nice guy named Wade. He gave me a vaccination and I can tell he really does care about the people who go there. So all but one employee have been helpful and courteous except the one on multiple encounters.
Sometimes this pharmacy as I’m sure all others do have to order pills in from their sources they can’t fill with your pickup. So some fills take longer than a few days. Their environment maybe stressful filling hundreds+ of prescriptions everyday balancing phone calls -and getting though a line of customers in a tight environment. So believable that’s the majority of the issues. Personally feel I’m being generous with 4stars as realistically they are more in the 3range but always think things can get better and grow with the right team.
Update: they are 4stars now things have gotten better just try not to get the Latin counter guy otherwise you will be treated like you don’t know what you’re talking about with your own prescriptions smh

Pharmacists and Assistants seem unhappy and are often brusque and short in their communication with customers. They are not supported by remote site that tells us our prescriptions are ready for pickup and have not been received or filled yet. Fix this!

I usually love this pharmacy but had a very strange interaction with one of the pharmacists. I was trying to pick up my prescription a few months back and the pharmacist was really weird about it, like maybe he didn’t want to give me my own prescription. I don’t think my name is SUPER weird, but he also looked me square in the face and asked if I was picking up for a dog? I don’t know what dog would be picking up HRT, but go off.

Calling Round to see if they might have my meds my reg drug store had my script 2 weeks back k.logged. out of 7 drug stores no one had. On 3rd wèk finally got meds. Not well to b off thoses

My mother just spoke to a pharmacy employee on the phone. We'd waited three days and found out once we called to check on the prescription that there was a problem with insurance information after the new year.Nobody thought to contact us, seek out the information and when we called to provide said information we were met with a condescending tone and attitude that we found unacceptable. Only after my mom whispered about going to a different pharmacy did we receive a slight improvement but overall, the dude was rude and we are going to take our business elsewhere.

Whatever we need is often out of stock, which makes it difficult to treat the illness. Even transferring the prescription to another pharmacy doesn’t always work.

I mean I don't really know what the problem is with Safeway but it seems to me that every time I come back to the state and I have to pick up a prescription at Safeway there is always some kind of drawn out exaggerated problem with these people yet I will cancel and remember why I don't use this chain and have the prescription sent to a different pharmacy and go and pick it up the very same day with zero issues it's like this place just creates a reason not to fill people's prescriptions especially the short little chubby guy in the back that likes to not use common sense but listen to his little computer

The pharmacist was very good. Pretty much painless which I like the only downside was when I tried to call to get an appointment I had to call several times and it turns out they have a phone system if you call several times the phone system automatically kicks you off so it's not possible to call them after they're busy. If it had not been for the phone system I would have given him a five. Turned out I could set up my appointment online which I was not aware. That system work just fine

Went to get my script for my dog. Was ready Tue went Thur and she first said it was out back. Then asked to fill again said 3 days due to short staff. So your short staff, but have time to put scripts back on shelf? Second time this is happened. Lady is all over the place with different answers. Save a headache and go to RX.
