I had the Red Bird special Bagna Breakfast, and it was delicious! It's a bowl of slow cooked veggies in a broth of butter, olive oil, anchovies (sorry) and a motherload of garlic served over fried polenta cake.

Had the best Rueben sandwich to date for me! They offered it with pickled beets and it was amazing. Everything was definitely fresh and super tasty. Ended up going back the next day it was so good. The service was exceptionally hospitable. 10/10 would recommend to anyone and everyone!

What a find! We live in "Twin Peaks" and figured we would go see "Northern Exposure" about an hour from us in Roslyn, WA. Got hungry and ventured into the Red Bird Cafe, and glad we wandered in! Aside from the wonderfully eclectic mix of 50s formica tables with chrome and vinyl abounding on chairs, it just feels so welcoming as soon as you walk in. Breakfast items captured our attention and I ordered the biscuit and gravy (First ordered the double thinking they were small, but the server advised me that they were really big and I appreciated his honesty) and my husband got the breakfast sammy on a croissant. They were both massive and absolutely yummy! My gravy had just a bit of a kick to it that made it even more delicious and the biscuit was flaky and ginormous! My hub's delight was a two-handed sammy and he savored every bite. Both of our servers were fabulous and very attentive, and it was just such a great experience for a Sunday brunch. We will definitely visit there again!

A service charge for to-go, on both sandwiches? Two small sandwiches for almost $40 is worse than Snoqualmie Pass. Our grilled sandwiches looked **nothing** like the toasty crispy sandwiches in the review pictures, and $18 for a grilled cheese +ham + to-go is bonkers. Oh, and prices are different than the menu outside, beware! We love supporting local businesses but this was not a good experience. Will be avoiding in the future!

I feel it takes the "dive" in "dive diner" a bit too far. Service was a IDGAF vibe.

The food was phenomenal and the service was fantastic! Thoughtful and creative dishes that are super delicious. It's the sort of place you could easily justify going for a 1.5 hour Sunday drive just for a meal here. Probably the best pastrami sandwich (Reuben) we've ever had. The interior vibes are very casual, kinda quirky vintage-eclectic that feel inviting. Eat here if you sincerely love great food and you will be very happy.

We split a juicy hot specialty sandwich since we just needed a lil bite to tide us over... so yum! Then we took some bread puddings to enjoy later which was also delish!
