We worked with Li An for filling our taxes this year. First of all, you can tell that she's really inexperienced when it comes to filling out more than W-2 forms. During our session, she wasn't sure what she was doing, so she kept asking her colleagues questions, which is fine, but this made us stressed. On top of that she kept rushing us about our one-hour period, telling us that her next customer was here, while she was the one taking her time to consult her colleagues about our taxes. Three days after we filed our taxes with her, I received a call from her, and she said she forgot to add one of our incomes, so she asked us to come to the office again to fix that mistake.
When I went there, she told me that I needed to pay an extra $75 for this transaction, which is ridiculous. When I asked her what would have happened if I had paid the incorrect amount they calculated to the IRS, obviously she didn’t have an answer for that as well. She said she can deduct the $75 amount as a promo code. It already seemed ridiculous to me that they would ask us to pay for this significant mistake they made. I don’t think I’ll work with them again, and I don’t recommend anyone to file their taxes with Li An if they have more than just W-2 forms.

Do not go here - they did a return for my 90year old mother and told her she owed $41,000 - as a elderly woman who is easily confused they convinced her that is what she owed.these people should be shut down and sued. Thank god we found out and are working to resolve it but now she needs to deal with the IRS and a revised return - very upsetting and incredibly stressful for her. These people or negligent and should PAY her anything she might owe more like $2500 - if she had the strength to deal with it we would absolutely SUE!

I’m not sure how some people get the title of being a ‘Senior tax analyst’, but after the session of filing in taxes, I truly believe that she did not work up to that title at all. 2 minutes of explaining myself for what I’m looking to get out of $89 service you are paying for and getting a petty comment saying, ‘This is not a school, this is a business’, will be the rudest comment I have ever heard.
+ Met with the multi leader on 1/26/25 - Giving back the refund is not a compensation. Failed to provide any further assistance other than “We will give you back the amount you did not have to pay,” and not the time that I spent sitting at the session being humiliated and disrepected and revisiting to spend my time again to go over how unprofessional their employee is.

We decided to try out filing taxes in person this year and it was such a terrible and regrettable experience. The person assisting us was not professional, not transparent and seemed to lack experience..we felt as though we could have done it easily ourselves because all they did was plug numbers in a computer (which they also had trouble with)..we were charged $200+ for this dreadful experience. 0/10 would not recommend!

H&R Block in Sammamish does a great job. This is my eleventh year having them prepare my taxes. Anju does a great job and has been immensely helpful over the years. I have peace of mind each year knowing my taxes were prepared thoroughly and correctly.
