Scenic Beach State Park is a beautiful and popular destination with many appealing features. Visitors enjoy the stunning views of Hood Canal and the Olympics, making it a great spot for picnics, relaxing, and exploring. The park offers plentiful picnic tables and grills, set among tall trees, creating a peaceful environment. The campground is nice and well-maintained, with clean restrooms that include hot showers. The park is dog-friendly, though dogs should be kept on a leash. There is at least one small playground that keeps children entertained, and the staff is helpful and considerate. The beach at the park is large, with beautiful scenery and abundant shells, but it can be rocky, with sharp stones that make walking difficult, especially for those using crutches. During low tides, visitors can explore many sea creatures and enjoy crabbing, but the beach area can get crowded, and some sections may be cut off at high tide. There are stairs leading down to the water, which provide access for paddle boarding and dropping crab pots, though the terrain might be challenging for some visitors. Hiking trails are available and highly recommended, with opportunities to find walking sticks and enjoy nature. Overall, Scenic Beach State Park is a great place for outdoor activities, scenic views, and relaxing moments, though some areas are rocky and terrain may be challenging for some visitors.
Overall great park. Pretty views, "pretty cool hiking trail"- my wife, & I found a walking stick that I used throughout our whole time there. Highly recommend.
Playground: Fun playground. A Grown man is able to do pullups comfortably... I say this from personal experience.
