I have been renting cars for over 30 years. I have never had a worst experience with a rental car company. To start my experience, I came into the rental car office to pick up my car, there was only one person working the desk for three rental car companies. The wait was over 1 hour. Then they charged me a $450 Cleaning fee. I did not even eat in the car. It was spotless when I left it. They did give me back the money almost two weeks later. I would never rent from them again. I also want to mention, I had to call several times to get help with the issue.

If I could leave zero I would. Try getting ahold of ANYONE human to help with anything or even automated help that doesn't involve taking your money with little to no trouble on their part. Awful -I will NEVER use them again.

Price for SUV is ok but not the vehicle. Ours smelt like MJ was just smoked inside and took 3 days to clear it out! Also be careful with travel outside their designated area!! Ask and be careful!If you even hit one toll, there is a service charge of $10 plus the tolls. We tried so hard not to get even one toll but got hit up when going south inside a tunnel by mistake in Seattle!The RAV4 was good overall but don’t like the hybrid system but that’s no fault of Dollar. The gas mileage was great though but no power from the engine.

We were a bit skeptical because of the other reviews for this place, but the renting process was the most simple I’ve ever experienced. Booked the car(SUV size) about 2 weeks in advance online, when I arrived to the rental car facility, there was hardly anyone there, the lady was super nice and quick with the paperwork process and went downstairs and got the keys to a newer Toyota Highlander pretty quickly. Car was nice and drove great. Return was easy too. As long as you do everything that’s asked of you, this place is the easiest to rent from! Would recommend to other travelers to the area.

It is always a pleasure to rent from SeaTac Dollar Car Rental! The staff is so kind and helpful, always offering a smile. Their cars are also much better maintained than anywhere else I have rented vehicles!! Thanks for everything Dollar!!!

Here's the scam.i book a compact, but in the booking it says "compact or larger". They have a compact, but give me a 4 runner and tell me I can upgrade to a compact for arbiter $100 . The agent says "you want to do the upgrade because fuel is $5+/ gal. I'm here for a memorial and in getting shaken down by Dollar. Nice.

Top tier customer service. Very friendly, quick, painless, and easy.I don’t normally write reviews, but felt compelled after receiving the best customer service I’ve ever experienced at any car rental facility from Aina working at Dollar SEATAC.Our story - We travelled to the Seattle area to visit family for a couple weeks and knew that we were going to put quite a bit of miles on the rental vehicle. From my past rentals (and we’ve rented plenty of cars, all from various rental companies), we’re typically given a car that lasts a couple hundred miles before the check engine light comes on requiring oil change. Knowing that we were going to be driving long miles, we called a week in advance to understand if anything can be done to ensure that we were given a car that had recently been serviced so our concerns would be quelled. Spoke to Aina, and he assured us that he’ll do his best to accommodate.To my surprise, when we arrived at the SEATAC rental facility, Aina was there to warmly greet us and help set us up with essentially a brand new vehicle to ensure that the engine oil/service wouldn’t be a concern. He personally walked up to help us when we arrived and guided us through the entire check in/check out process.To Aina, thank you for going above and beyond and making our Washington trip a memorable one!

This company has a bad habit of overbooking and under fulfilling their reservations. I showed up in Atlanta airport and proceeded to pick up my car. There was over 30 people in line who were told that if they had a reservation they would be waiting 7 hours for a car which to me is unacceptable and unreasonable. I will never rent a car from them again

We were able to make a last minute reservation with no complications. Our 2023 Toyota 4Runner was clean, had a full tank of gas, and all for a great price for the weekend. Loved their selection of SUVs and excellent customer service.

Arguably my best Dollar Car Rental experience across the states. I love the fact that all car rentals, regardless of stature, are shuttled off Sea-Tac airport. And to my surprise, the line at Dollar is non-existent which made checking in a breeze. Another plus is that we had a Toyota RAV4 as our mid-size suv. IMO, the best midsize suv for us to rent. It is quite spacious, clean, and sips little gas. We had our rental for 5 days and everything went well. Returning the car was just as fast; with clearly labeled signs directing you back to the rental. Overall we had a seamless and good experience with Dollar Car Rental at Sea-Tac and would not hesitate to rent with them when coming back to Seattle to visit.

We declined the supplemental insurance when checking out the car and it was added into the final price when returning the car. This was done on purpose after clearly being told we did not want it. I see others reviewers complain about the exact same issue. I will never use them again. We normally use Enterprise. Don’t use this location!!

Whoever schedules the staff here should be fired into the sun. But not before being forced to wait over an hour for a RESERVED, "Fastbreak" car with a skeleton crew. Only the Avis/Budget counters suffer from this problem.

Got a new Camry!! Wow, we didn't expect it. This was our first time renting here. We were on a budget and this was the cheapest rental deal. We took the chance and expecting a cheap dollar value car. But Oh la la got a new squeaky clean Camry for $45 a day. We were on hiking trip in Mt. Rainer and decided to extend our stay. The contract says the rate to extend was $67 a day. We checked prices online and it's cheaper to return the car and booked another new one. But the drive to return it from Mt Reiner to SeaTac airport would be a too far stretched. We called Dollar and talked to the manager (can't remember his name) about our situation. OMGosh we didn't even have to explain it to him. He's like "that's too much hassle to drive to airport from Mt. Rainer to pick up another car..." And he gave us the same original rate to extend it. What a fantastic service.Can't find that anywhere else. Thank you to the manager for making our trip supercalifragilisticexpialidocious. Definitely Recommended and will be our Go To rental car from now on.

Rudeness should be there tagline. After traveling all day, and having 3 time zone changes, a small bit of kindness goes a long way. The person that completed the transaction between our family and the company that employs her was less than what anyone would expect after a day of traveling. If she was having a bad day I could maybe get this but the rudeness in telling me there were other car companies to choose from, tells me her company doesn't need customers and she wouldn't mind working for free. And that was after we had issues with the company's card chip reader. We will definitely be going to another company with our next visit, thanks for that advice.

It was a such a trash experience to rent a car from this place. I was there with my family including 3 kids, and rented a car. I made a agreement for 5 days. However since I was going to use military flight named space a, my flight was no guarantee. I confirmed from the agent if it is okay I could return the car earlier than 5days, and she said yes, that is fine. 2 days after, I got informed that I could get the flight and I was returned the car on that day. Therefore, I called the dollar 0900 in the morning, and asked to agent what time do I need to return the car in order to avoid to gret charged as 3 days instead of 2. Because with 3 kids, I could not remember the exact time when I rented. However, she told me that anytime before 11pm will be fine. Even though I had a friend who can give me the ride, I refused their offer and used car till 10:40pm. And I got the receipt charged as 3 days. What’s wrong with this place? The agent gave me the false information and trip us for wasted our money. Honestly price was not a big issue, but I really felt like I got trapped by this rental car place.
