I’ve worked with Abigail entirely virtually. I completely trust her with my finances and accounts. She’s friendly, incredibly knowledgeable, and thorough. I’ve been with her for a few years now.There was a mistake made in filing my taxes (wrong category, not her fault- advised by someone at the tax offices) and she was incredibly apologetic and fixed it promptly. As a result, I received a huge refund from state. I didn’t have to do anything on my end.Abigail has been patient in answering all my questions, makes extra time for me if I need it, and has gone above and beyond to help me understand how to do my book-keeping through Quickbooks. I’m very happy to continue working with her!

tl;dr If you are a small business owner in Seattle / WA, avoid.My wife used 1st Choice to file her 2021 small business taxes for the first time. Initially their filing included a typo with an SSN which meant that an extension had to be filed and the whole thing had to be resubmitted.She has been in touch with her contact point at 1st Choice periodically about the status of her filing and tax return and she has been told every time to "just wait".For 2022, given this bad experience and sustained poor communication, we decided to file the taxes ourselves. No problem; it was fast and on-time.However, with the tax return for 2022 we received a letter saying that the entire sum had been applied to a significant outstanding balance from 2021, which was filed by 1st Choice.We tried reaching the contact person who was responsible for the 2021 filing at 1st Choice again after receiving the letter from the IRS. They are "no longer in that position" (but still at the company), and had an automated response suggesting 3 other people to email, which we did, explaining the entire situation. No reply whatsoever.After spending the entire morning on the phone with IRS, the severity of the errors that were made with the 2021 filing by 1st Choice were explained to us, and we are left having to pay $2000+ out of pocket to clear this outstanding balance which was accruing interest.Despite regular follow up emails with 1st Choice specifically on the topic of the 2021 return status, nothing was ever communicated to us about the outstanding balance.We'll be looking in to filing a complaint against 1st Choice with the IRS next.

I dropped by 1st Choice Tax in White Center, hoping they could create a pdf for emailing, photocopying, etc. They kindly obliged and I've been back several times. Always very sweet.

I'm so glad I found Abigail at 1st Choice Tax. I've worked with her for two years now, and I am so impressed. She finds every possible deduction and makes sure the return is accurate - and (especially rare) she takes the time to patiently explain the return in great detail. Her advice has saved me a ton of money, not to mention the peace of mind that comes from knowing the return was professionally prepared. Several of my colleagues work with her as well. Highly recommend.

1st Choice is my only choice for doing my taxes. My experience has been so positive at every step that not only am I comfortable heading into tax season, I'm looking forward to getting it done here. The staff is friendly and highly knowledgeable - everything was handled perfectly. They are also very clearly here for the community. This will be the 2nd year I’ve filed with the ladies at 1st choice. As a hairstylist and new homeowner i really wanted to go to a place that knew their stuff. These ladies do! I had 2 years of federal tax inquiries, and I needed an extension on my latest taxes. 1st Choise (Abi and team) were great, and I am all taken care of now! So far, so good, thanks so much team!!! What a relief!They were very hands on, so that I can be hands off, and explained everything as they went. They are quite busy but always make time!
