This is the worst convenience store I have ever been in. I entered this place just wanting a fountain drink. So me and my partner do a quick walk around cause this is also my first 7-eleven.
Already not a great first impression. The hot food is expired. The shelf's are not fully stocked. And the place is super filthy. But I don't care to much since I'm here for a fountain drink so what the hell.
Well we grab our cups and I push for an orange soda and it's green. I go for a normal mountain dew and it's red. I give up and go for a coke and I try it and it's diet. Thankfully my husband likes diet coke. He was trying to get diet coke but it came out as the orange drink.
So I give up and give him the diet coke. But I don't trust the drinks from the fountain area anymore. I go grab a bottle that's smaller than a fountain drink and a dollar more. But I can trust it is what it says it is.
The cashier just watched this happen without a single word. Then we go pay and it's about 4 dollars and some change. So I give him a five. Instead of giving me a dollar back he gives me a whole one dollar bill. Not that I'm complaining but isn't that lazy? And as a cashier I remember not giving out proper change to be a fireable offense so I was just extremely thrown off by it.
I worked at a convenience store for half a decade. And I've never felt the need to give a one star review to any convenience store. I was just so thrown off by how everything was.

Last time I was here people were smoking something out of a glass pipe clearly in the open by the front door on a weekday afternoon. So that's a vibe.

Scammers! Attendant tried to double the price for my purchases. Luckily I noticed and asked him to correct it, where he sheepishly did.
Be careful and double check you are getting charged the correct amount!!!

After paying for items manager steps in and tells employee to not help me with loading my cash app refused to give me a legit reason why they would not help me. Then followed me to my car on his phone speaking another language. Beyond rude and deserves to be punched in the face. Has no concept of customer service unless your Arab.

Cheat on their taxes by not ringing things up properly. Try to charge $4-5 more than shelf listed prices or neighborhood prices. Try to short customers on cash change (both to me and others). Should be avoided. Go to the stores on Madison or to Safeway

The morning guy doesn't do half of his job and is usually on the phone, even when a/several customers are in the store. Not only is this incredibly frustrating, but it is also insulting that I have to worry about if he's correctly entering items on the register. These businesses could just be taking our money without consequence because who's going to believe a homeless queer?
