Ada’s Technical Books & Café is a special place where the love of books, learning, and community come together. Located in Capitol Hill, Seattle, it offers a wide selection of curated books, including graphic novels and technical manuals about obscure programming languages. The store feels like the home of a smart, friendly, and diverse community, with staff who are charming and eager to share their knowledge. Visitors often find themselves overwhelmed in a good way by the variety of books and the inviting atmosphere, which encourages deep conversations and connection among friends and fellow book lovers. Beyond books, Ada’s features a cozy café serving delicious food like po’grrrl, breakfast burritos, and tasty sandwiches—though some find certain items a bit messy or vertically challenging to eat. The café has a no-tipping policy because they pay staff a consistent, livable wage, which many appreciate. The shop also has clever tables with interactive features and an attached bar that hosts social gatherings, adding to its lively yet intimate vibe. Overall, Ada’s Technical Books & Café stands out as a place for curiosity, learning, and community, where people can feed their passions, enjoy good food, and feel at home among friends and fellow geeks alike.
Tis good. Tis great. Especially for an on the go. Just wish they had more vegan options or took the final step and went all the way vegan. I mean, technically, they could. Updated from previous review on 2026-03-24

Cannot change my mind. I've tried the scramble and the burrito, and they're way better than any at vegan places.

Overall, it’s a great establishment and the outdoor seating down in front of rubensteins is nice during the summer too!
