I was a customer for 20 years until an incident occurred where my lenses were damaged during an adjustment. America's Best is not known for their exemplary customer service, but I had been a loyal customer. Unfortunately, my lenses were broken just before a planned month-long vacation. The staff was willing to fix the lenses, which were less than a year old; however, they informed me that my prescription had expired and I would need to pay over $140 for an eye exam. ?I just took my business elsewhere, even if it means paying a bit more. It was not about the cost, but rather about principle. While I understand that they could not provide me with lenses without a current prescription, I believe they could have offered a free or discounted eye exam as a gesture of goodwill. I entered the store with undamaged lenses and left without any glasses, only to be asked to spend more money due to their mistake. I'm good. I wish everyone else better experiences. ✌️

Optometrist was knowledgeable and efficient. Staff is competent and kind. I had a great experience coming in today to get my prescription updated.

This happened last year. I felt I needed to write this review when I saw my examination papers and got frustrated. I was seen by Dr. Kurt Mills. He did not greet me very well. Asked a few questions. In one I could not put my words together and he started saying you cant put soap into your eyes, in which country did this Doctor tell you to put soap in your eyes. For Gods sake, why should a Dr. Suggest me to put soap in my eyes? When I told him what I meant, he re-word my sentence... At the end of my examination I was unsatisfied with the treatment. Even my husband got annoyed. In a few weeks I got my glasses. I immediately noticed that the glasses were thick than usual. I have been wearing glasses since I was 12. And I know what I want and I know how thin my glasses can be. When I said this. They said this is the thinnest glass and there cannot be a glass thinner. I showed my glasses. They saod where I got my old glasses from. And I said WALMART! The second I wore my glasses I knew that the Dr. Had made a mistake during the examination. I could see better with my old glasses. They told me to use it for a few days and my eyes will get used to it. As mentioned I have been using glasses for a long time. And I do buy glasses almost every 1-2 years. I had never experienced something like this ever. We immediately returned the glasses. The way the seller reactions and treatment changed was shocking. I went to another Doctor for another examination. And the numbers were skyrocketing... It was a very bad experience.

I was helped by Cassidy when I arrived. I just moved from California and needed to order a prescription for contacts and glasses. I took an eye test with the doctor in CA. When I went to place the order at this store, as its my local store now, Cassidy was able to help me. There were some missing details on my eye consultation. Cassidy chased down some missing details the store in CA forgot to log into system. I appreciate she went the extra mile to try and call and try and speak to the doctor so I could fulfill my order. Im grateful I was helped by her as she was nice and patient.

The manager her was very helpful when my prescription was not right. Not only did she solve my problem quickly she did so at no additional trouble to me. I am a very satisfied customer and will return.

Scheduled my appointment the night before and was able to get a time slot right after work. The secretaries were incredibly nice and accommodating and the nurse (idk what they are called at an eye doctor) was very helpful and efficient. Eye doctor himself was incredibly nice, we had fun conversation and he helped me get my prescription updated within minutes. I was in a rut as I had run out of daily contacts, plus my insurance was out so I had to pay out of pocket for my exam. Luckily the exam was cheaper than any other places I could find and it was a wonderful experience. Will definitely be going again!

So I'm sent the wrong set first . I go back in to find a rude heavy weight girl , super rude . When I explain she looks at me tells me the glasses are way far ray bands . I've been wearing the same style glasses for 20 years. To be rude just to top it off she says I'm going to charge you the full price now 600+ dollars . I will refund you for your mistake it can take up to two weeks for you to get the refund. I said " excuse me / but no . That will not work ! "So she say well it's going to take all of the two weeks . You don't want to pay up front for them !I paid for the glasses but I was given the wrong set . As I get the order corrected . She refuses to tell me all thr opinions I have for my new set. After I get frustrated I just say what ever and start to walk out .This fat rude person reply's . We'll have a good day , trying to be passive aggressive. I turn and say what did you say to me .She replayed are you not gaveling a good day . Trying to get my goat. I've never been so upset . I walked out and will handle it thru the bank . Worst experience ever .Do not go here .

I had an amazing experience here for a last minute appointment (booked a week out). They texted me about 4x with reminders, super friendly when I arrived, the technician explained everything step by step, the eye doctor too. Very thorough and I could not have had a better experience!! Even sitting down and choosing my glasses. I was in and out in under 45 minutes. I don't have vision insurance and not only was this affordable but met my needs 10 fold.

MAKENZIE at the front desk was extremely rude and had a attitude , and was rolling her eyes at me, as she was turning her head to walk off, however Dr Du was sweet and the Yanna was sweet as well as Rowan, but MACKENZIE was super disrespectful!!

I literally bought my glasses at the beginning of April and by mid-May, the lens already popped out and pops out anytime I clean my glasses. I’ve only gently wiped them and for them to break after just over a month is unacceptable when I spent about $200 on them ? I will be returning to costco for my next pair, which will probably be significantly sooner than the two years they were supposed to last.

I took my spectacles in to have the hinge fixed. The staff worked diligently on my spectacle for 25 minutes and i really appreciate their efforts! The hinge is now secure!While my spectacles were being service, other staff members were speaking freely about the company policy and rule in the lobby while customers were present. Those staff members did not seem pleased by the policy or rules. I understand not everyone agrees with policies or rules of a company however perhaps speak about away from customers :)

I have got my daughter's contacts from here after confirming that they are In-network for my insurance. They talked to my insurance and confirmed the copay. I paid it during the visit in Nov, 2022.They started sending the bills/notices for the full amount from Apr2023. I spoke to the Insurance and they confirmed that they have not received any claims from America's Best. Also they advised not to pay anything since we are 100% covered.The worst part is that the so called Managed Care does not pick up any calls. I have waited in the call along with Insurance company for 30mins-1Hr multiple times and no one answers the call. We left multiple voice messages and no one calls back.I went to their Bellevue location and given all the details and copies of my insurance and the notice for payment. Still they sent another notice for payment now, not sure what else i can do now or how to work with these people.Easily they are the America's worst and i have never experienced anything like this with any business. Please avoid going there.

The entire staff is friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. Today I was helped by Alex and Alisa. Both made me feel so comfortable with my virtual appointment. I don’t recall the optician’s name, but she was also great to work with. I highly recommend this location.

I visited this location more than 3 weeks ago for a contacts appointment and still haven’t received the trial contacts that I have to use before coming back for another appointment to “finalize” my prescription- their policy to receive a prescription (that you pay for!) I have been wearing the same prescription for years now and have never had to wear trial contacts prior to receiving my prescription. I can see the merit in trying out contacts prior to buying them, but shouldn’t one be able to opt out? Maybe I just want my prescription… When I called recently, I was told it may be another two weeks before these trial contacts come in and then I would have to wait a week before coming back to finally get the prescription that I should have gotten almost a month ago. Why would I ever want to order from or come back to this store? Every other eye clinic that I have been to allowed me to order my contacts the same day that I had an appointment. Often, because I had (and still have) an easy prescription, I bought my contacts on the same day. At this rate, I may have contacts by the 4th of July and I’ll have to ration the remainder of my contact supply from last year… The people that work here are nice, but the system is the worst! I cannot imagine many use this company twice!
