Great bookstore, I wished I had more time to browse the whole shelves. Excellent collections, categories, genres,etc. On our short visit to downtown Seattle, this stop was very satisfying, I did purchase a couple of books.

Great bookstore with a thoughtful selection and an engaging owner who will happily make recommendations. The building is also gorgeous. Definitely go in and support this store!

Highly recommended! Be sure to visit this awesome little bookstore on 1st Ave. The inside is incredible with the original building architecture from the 1900s. Arundel Books (est. 1984) is one of the world's most beautiful bookshops (featured in "150 Bookstores You Need to Visit Before you Die"). Located in one of Seattle's most beautiful and historic landmark buildings, it features thousands of new, used, and rare books for readers and collectors. Store hours are 11am-to 7pm, 7 days a week. We buy books from all eras and in virtually every subject. If you can't visit in person, our entire inventory is on our website.
