I was here in the store for a brief 5 min with my 5 years old. There are some cute stuffs in the stores but I didn’t feel comfortable or welcome in the store and I will never come back.I wanted to look at the stationary they had and I took 5 years old to the corner session with cute books to get him interested of the store. My son picked up a pair of plastic reading glasses from the reading glass tower and the lady on floor said ‘that’s not for kids’. I realized they may not be kids friendly and I need to lay my eyes to my kids every second instead of every 3 seconds. So we went to the session that they sell toys… those 1-2 inches tall gear wind up toy monkey. You know the second you pick those up and they will start to run a little. The lady talked to my 5 years old son said if you want to play it buy it home. I really had enough of unwelcome treatment up to this point and took my son with me walk by the lady asked if she is the owner and she said yes. I behave the normal me and I just have never felt unwelcome with my son. I wanted to support local small business but this attitude just don’t make to my list.

Had a very disrespectful interaction with the staff when I asked what their hours were (since they weren't posted outside). It was around 5:00 in the evening, and one responded very rudely, giving a non-direct answer, while the other added a sassy remark on top, saying with emphasis, "you know what tomorrow is? ANOTHER DAY.". Very off-putting and made me feel uncomfortable and unwelcome in their store. Even after that interaction, I still don't know what their hours are. Though, it's irrelevant since I will not be returning here when I visit Old Ballard. I would not recommend a visit here if you're looking to get treated with respect.

I can't get enuff of the store n the ladies who work there! Such bright spirits n their store has the useful n the just-want-it-cuz-I-want-it. I visit weekly, mostly for the chat, primarily for the CBD!

I consistently find great things here. Yesterday a summer dress, previously great gifts. It's an interesting and eclectic array of merchandise that's fun to browse, where you can find the thing you didn't know you needed, or that just-right gift to give.

Gotta go one star here as I entered the store during Covid and the owner was not wearing a mask, nor did she put one on upon seeing me and she spoke to me without a mask on. So, she was breaking state mandate and putting her customers at risk. I left immediately.

Has cute stuff and selection. It felt like I was being watched while I shopped. I wanted to support a local store but was not happy with the customer Service. Bought what I liked but will not return or recommend store.

Probably the rudest staff member I have ever encountered. Called me and my mother names, tried to shame us for only window shopping and not buying an actual product. Extremely disappointed by the management of this place. Would never recommend.

It's the last Sunday market before Christmas and you would think that they would want to make sales. I asked to see a pink Flamingo Limoge box out of the case and a woman told me to "be careful that they are like $200." I told her I knew exactly what it was and if she wanted to see my credit card in order to look at it. Shame on you for embarrassing me in front of other people and my kid. I have enough money to buy all of them . I realize I was dressed pretty casual with no make up on, and a hat but I am a 47 year old woman. I used to get this kind of treatment all the time in my 20's when I looked young but this was ridiculous. My daughter had to put back earrings she loved because I will never spend a penny in that store.

This store has great items for gifts and comfortable PJ’s for lounging. I can’t wait to see the Christmas line up for this season

You can find a gift for anyone at this store (anyone with a sense of humor). Not sure why this store is categorized as a furniture store and not as a gift store. I don't think they sell much or any furniture. But lots of really cute things to decorate your apartment with. It's like a treasure chest, and I highly recommend shopping there!

Really enjoyed the shop, super friendly people. Best part, they have a really old shop cat that gives the place an amazing character. I have heard that the cat is rather grumpy which really adds to the character of the store. I will always shop there when I am in Ballard.
