This place is awesome. Kind staff. Excellent service. Even waived down a prescription fee for me back when I didn't have insurance. Who does that? No pharmacy I've ever been to! Incredible. Definitely recommend. Make sure to have extra time and a plan to kick around a bit if it's busy.

Went in for a job interview. It went well and I left with a contingent job offer. A week went by and I heard nothing. I called and was told Angie, the store manager was out. Another week went by. I called again and was told that they would call me once they got the ok. Another week went by and I got an email from them saying they were unable to contact me and therefore are pursuing other candidates. This is a complete fabrication. In order to apply for the job I had to enter my email address and my phone number also my contact information is on my resume and they were able to contact me to tell me that they couldn't contact me. This is highly unacceptable. Rite Aid/Bartells is a sinking ship.

The pharmacy employees are always kind, but impossible to get through to them on the phone to refill a script. I’ve called 6 times and tried holding (56 min total). Til i gave up and called a different Bartells.. this is a a monthly occurrence. They’re always sooooo short staffed and running around. I know they’re doing their best, but if you need something urgently, do not waste your time calling the pharmacy.

Very nice people, but Bartell works them too hard to provide an acceptable level of service. You will not get your prescriptions quickly here, and multiple times they have not started filling anything, including prescriptions that need to be special ordered, until I personally call them to ask.

Literally you will never get your meds on time. If you are disabled… good luck. They never answer the phone. I’m crippled with PsA flares a lot of the times. Instead of being able to call to get my Rx filled, I have to drive down there, which to an able bodied person doesn’t seem like a lot but for me, it’s an arduous task and might as well be a trek to middle America by foot. Do better pls

literally can’t get anyone in the pharmacy to answer the phone to ask a question about medications that were ordered to the pharmacy that have not been filled. tried calling in the evening no answer, tried calling in the morning no answer. how is anyone supposed to trust this pharmacy? i always end up waiting days to find out if my prescription has been received/filled. once they forced me to pay $60 out of pocket because they were too lazy to take my DOUBLE COVERAGE (two different insurances) and re-ring up the medications they were making me pay out of pocket for. i have tried time and time again to give this pharmacy every chance to do a good job and it never happens. this institution really needs to wake up and realize they are a screwing up peoples lives by not being communicative, and following proper protocols for a pharmacy! I’m done going here*Update- I am going through antidepressant withdrawals because of this irresponsible pharmacy. They can’t even answer the phone for a DOCTOR or other PHARMACISTS so that prescriptions they are too lazy to fill can be moved to a new pharmacy. As I said, I am not going back here, and will not be recommending anyone go to Bartells.also real cute of the owner to respond to every review telling them what the problem is with the “contact us” form but when you try to fill it out the web page is so glitchy i couldn’t even submit my complaint. the BBB needs to do something about this institution literally making peoples lives harder because of negligent care.

Very frustrating the long lines and impossible to reach by phone. The worst experience with prescriptions and customer non support. Never use this pharmacy save your self the frustration. Use Walgreens or really any other pharmacy even Safeway is better and they suck!

They never pick up the phone, wait times at the pharmacy are outrageous, and when you make it to the counter they have the audacity to tell you they've been too busy to fill your prescription they've received 24 hours ago and to come back again the next day. AVOID AVOID AVOID!

WORST PHARMACY. I have tried several times today to get ahold of the pharmacy and no one answered besides once, and I was immediately placed me on hold without speaking to me . I couldn't even get through to the main line. I have been trying to get my medication all day and have not been able to get through. The last time I went to the pharmacy, I stood in line for 45 minutes and they were unable to provide me my medication because they said it wasn't ready, even though I received the alert it was. It is absolutely unacceptable. It is such a shame since I have been a Bartell customer for over a decade but once Rite Aid bought them out, there entire customer service went down the drain. What a waste of my time.

Beware, long waits even if you have a vaccine appointment. It was almost an hour to get a vaccine even though I had pre uploaded the questionnaire and insurance documents. Go somewhere else.

I have had a challenging experience at the pharmacy in Jefferson Square Mall in West Seattle lately. They seem overwhelmed and/or understaffed. They will never answer the phone on the pharmacy side. The lines are very long, and the staff struggled with filling my vacation override for Rx, even though it was approved for refills by my primary care physician. I thought I was doing this early enough (more than one week prior to my departure), and I was told the evening prior that the Rx was ready, but it was not. This involved two separate visits, each lasting about an hour. I had to pay out-of-pocket and skipped the insurance to fill my Rx (a maintenance medication) in time, which otherwise would have run out while I was out of town. It's unclear if this issue was due to an insurance problem or a mixup by staff. That said, the staff members seemed hardworking and pleasant, and they provided a discounted price for the Rx since I was paying out of pocket. They are sincerely trying but cannot keep up with the demand (Rx and vaccinations). Given that Rite-Aid (which acquired Bartell) is likely facing bankruptcy, I wonder if this location will last very long. I am switching to Amazon Pharmacy and hopefully will have a better, more convenient experience.

Seriously one of the worst pharmacies. They never answer the phone, the app is beyond confusing, they literally lie about contacting my drs offices, they never have enough staff, I have to come back 2 or 3 times because there’s a medication that wasn’t refilled or miscommunication, the lines are SOOO long and there’s this one guy okay I’ve watched it happen on 3 separate occasions. He will be helping out the check out line because it’s long or there’s a lot of people waiting for a vaccine and then when it gets really slammed he LEAVES AND SAYS HES GOING ON LUNCH BREAK. Now maybe I’m coming at the time of this dudes lunch shift, but he like abandons ship HARD at the worst possible time and he acts like it’s bothering him!!! Like I hope I’m just crazy because I would be furious if he was my coworker. Usually everyones really nice, but like y’all need more workers and a better system point blank. On the hunt for a new pharmacy because I have way too many prescriptions and my to do list is entirely too long for me to be wasting so much of my time at bartells. Will someone please answer the phone

Trying to talk to someone in the pharmacy is ridiculously hard. I had to call back 5 times. Meanwhile at wallgreens it takes no time at all to speak with someone and I am able to talk to the store or the pharmacy when I call.I HAVE BEEN USING THIS BARTELLS FOR 7 YEARS AND HAVE AROUND 15 MEDICATIONS I ACTIVELY GET FROM THEM. I had to transfer one of my drugs to Walgreens because bartells can't get it in stock for whatever reason. I just got off the phone with them and the employees are tired and burnt out. They get the brunt of it because so much goes wrong and they get yelled at. Not just by the customer but the higher ups. It's so sad to see a once great pharmacy go down hill like this.Walgreens employees seem chipper and eager to help.?gimmie one reason to stay here? and I'll turn her back around? So sad....

Ever since the takeover, they literally, actually, honestly DO NOT answer the phone. The employees seem burned out, and severely understaffed. The lines are long and move slowly. They do not fill my prescriptions that are set for auto refill and I end up having to call to get them refilled which has led to a laps in dosage for some meds.It scares me because some of my medication is considered lifesaving and if i don't take it i will die. If this ever happened with my Tacrolimus or sirolimus, I would have to go to the ER.I've been going here for years and I loved them but it might me time to transfer my many medications to another pharmacy that can offer better quality of care. ?

Nice Bartell Drugs in West Seattle with a large parking lot. It's very brightly lit and clean, and there are nice signs above the aisles. No self checkout though, and the line got kind of long when I was there. They do carry some Seattle Chocolates so I bought a bar.
