We had a very good experience with Better Builders on a full basement remodel including the addition of a new bathroom with shower. They were very open, honest, and personable from the start. They were very helpful in challenging our choices and decisions on our project - ultimately making the outcome even better and more to our liking. We had a very basic basement with 70s style paneled walls, concrete floor, and open ceiling. We used Better Builders to add a wine closet, nice family room, a workout room, a pantry, utility room, and a new bathroom. They worked well with our designer to get to our plans finalized including a spec sheet. They were outstanding at managing their subcontractors, permits, inspections, and general contracting work. Their communication throughout the whole process was excellent - their use of recurring weekly updates was very beneficial. The final product is outstanding and quality is exceptional. We would not hesitate to hire them for any future projects.

Working with the Better Builders team was fantastic. They provided white glove service to make my remodel a reality. From the earliest ideation to the final sign off they provided clear communication about timelines, options, total pricing and everything in between. I was even able to live in my place with my big dogs during the entire renovation as they kept the site spotless enough for me to walk through in the evenings/mornings! I highly recommend their services to anyone looking to do some major changes to their place, I could not be happier with my outcome!

It was a pleasure to work with Better Builders on our bathroom remodel. We did a complete tear-out of one bathroom (even two of the walls and part of the floor) and a few small items in another bathroom. Everyone we worked with was personable and respectful. The design team took extra pains to make sure our plumbing would be up to code, which required a second opinion due to the challenges of our site. Our construction manager, Chris, did an excellent job of rolling with the punches as items were back-ordered and scheduling was tight. We now have a beautiful bathroom with a respectable ceiling height that has plenty of storage for the three teenagers who share it. After my husband tried out the new shower, he said the bathroom made him feel like he was on vacation. We are well pleased!

Better Builders took on the conversion of a 3rd floor deck into an enclosed sunroom and also undertook the repair of two other upper-level, over living-space decks; a job refused by other regular deck contractors. They oversaw the job from design to completion, with attention to detail, quality construction, and willingness to resolve concerns. I am very pleased with the outcome of this project.

We've worked with Better Builders twice now and both times they were fantastic. First time was on a partial kitchen remodel and the second time was after noticing an issue with our siding. Both times they were exceptionally quick to respond to our needs, clear on the work required and the potential risks. Once the work started, they were focused on quality as well as speed and exceeded expectations of leaving the completed work very clean. Will certainly contact them next time we need work done.

I recently worked with Better Builders to remodel my garage into a home gym, and I’m extremely satisfied with the results. Pete and his team excelled in five key areas:
Quality: The craftsmanship and attention to detail including from subcontractors Better Builders recruited was very good.
Communication: Pete provided excellent guidance and kept me informed throughout the project, always available for questions and concerns. As someone who is inexperienced about what to do, I appreciated Pete providing valuable guidance working to understand what I valued and how to do it under budget.
Minimal Effort: The team handled everything efficiently, making the process stress-free for me.
Cost: While not the cheapest option, the quality and service were well worth the investment.
Schedule: The project was managed to schedule well.

I had a recent consultation with Peter and even though I decided the project wouldn't be feasible, I came away with a lot of valuable information not just about what I wanted to do but the whole remodeling process. Peter gave me the impression that he and and his company was really there to serve my needs instead of just making a profit.

The team at Remodel Washington DC was awesome to work with. They helped us figure out the type of flooring that would meet our family’s needs. They also provided great opinions on colors that would match the wall colors and decor in our home. The installers were awesome and so friendly. We cannot say enough about the install team, they went above and beyond. If we ever need flooring again we will definitely call them. Highly recommended.

In 2022, we hired Better Builders for a renovation project at our house, and we couldn't be happier with the results. From the initial consultation to the final walkthrough, the team at Better Builders was professional, knowledgeable, and efficient. Kevin Flood, our project manager, was incredibly communicative and a pleasure to work with.The project included new roof and siding, trim, doors, and painting.
