Wonderful locally owned cookbook store. Also, a small collection of quality spices and other pantry items such as Kari Kari chili crisp (local product). Cute kitchen towels, gift cards, etc. Great place for gift shopping for yourself or others. They also host author talks.

Book Larder is one of my favorite bookstores in Seattle! I stopped by after work to pick up an online order and ended up sticking around to look through all the beautiful and diverse cookbooks. Special shout out to Virginia & Jen for making my visit extra wonderful! They were both really knowledgeable about various cookbooks/cuisines, and gave great recommendations!

A wonderland of cookbooks; Disney World for someone with my penchant for all things food and drinks. Slotted below a selection of books were very helpful notes and reviews penned by the proprietors and staff.

This is an AMAZING locally owned book store with COOKBOOKS ONLY!!! Book Larder is such a cool place, J. Kenji Lopez-Alt chose them for his local book signing...need I say more?OK - This isn't just a few shelves. This is a good sized indy book store with sections for anything you imagine eating or drinking. They have great children's cookbooks, insane baking books and cocktail guides...it just goes on and on.They have a DEMO KITCHEN in the center of the store!!They host tons of author talks and also have cooking classes.Parking is not easy here but it is worth the effort.Did I mention how much I love this store??? Seriously - cookbook lovers heaven.

Spending even a moment of time in this store will make it abundantly clear just how special of a place it is. They not only have a cookbook for anything you might want to create or learn about but also some of the most helpful guidance you could possibly imagine. And that's precisely why I will continue to recommend them to anyone looking to pick up a new culinary book regardless of where they live. Just today I was in need of help selecting a new book and one phone call provided me with so much helpful information, I may just buy two!If you're in Seattle, do yourself a favor and visit this shop. And if not, know that they can ship to you and are only a call away from any questions you may have.

I don’t live in Seattle so I’ve never been to the bookstore but I was able to pre-order a book published in the UK that was not available for sale anywhere in the US. Excellent job, Book Larder on keeping a unique and excellent selection!

This place is a magical bookstore focusing only on cookbooks. The magic comes in a few ways - but I'd say the first is that by focusing on a specific genre of books, it allows the store to more fully explore that category. I find traditional bookstores (particularly small and independent ones) try to be everything to everyone. The result is a superficial level of the top sellers.Book Larder is a place that can fully explore the wide range of the cookbook section, it's really a delight. The magic here also comes through in their strong partnerships with authors and chefs. They always have reading or some other events in addition to a lot of signed books available. They also have a demonstration kitchen in the middle of the bookstore which is fun for some hands on demonstrations. If you're in the area and enjoy cooking and/or bookstores - Book Larder is a must.

I entered this place and was immediately overwhelmed at the choices! So many beautiful and somewhat rare cookbooks. I had lots of good help and while I was there discovered they do cooking classes! So cool. Go check them out for sure. Then go eat at Le Coin. You won’t be disappointed.
