The Spirit at work.
A well structured, transformational program to get people across the 'pond' intact, and ready for a blessed life.
Best of Seattle. Historic Landmark.
Amazing Volunteers. Great Staff. Involved Stakeholders.
Enjoy the clip 🌇🌆⛵🌊

Staff don't do anything or care about safety of homeless belongings. It often cold inside and no provided blankets. It kicks out people outside by 5:30 am when things are closed. Staff can't be called Cristian neither people who design the way how place operates can not be called Cristian. Food is normal-plus with some fruits that gain this place second star otherwise it would be one star at best.

I was their lead cook, and a resident volunteer when a new mgmt team came on board, in or about ‘07. I would leave too soon, transferring to an unnamed (on purpose) Lutheran transitional shelter in the neighborhood of Pioneer Square. They are very near the waterfront - take caution, homeless vets!
That was my own error, as the world turned. They demanded full control over my case mgmt, rather than cooperation with my existing case manager; associated with the VA - and Jim was quite competent as well. They didn’t care, evidently they wanted full credit - the direct result was another year being homeless! If only I had stayed on at the Bread, I’d have had a much better outcome?

It is a men's shelter and day center. It's in a very old bldg and will serve people without proper hygiene maintenance even tho there is a shower onsite. There are also infestations of bed bugs. It's a place so you won't freeze and the next morning they offer sustainence.
