This is my not so secret garden and safe space. I enjoy the variety of people and animals that also enjoy this place. It also has a small walking/running path I regularly utilize.

I bring my dog here almost daily. It's a great place to meet other dog owners. Also, it has a huge grass lawn for dogs to run on. Compared to the Denny Sub Station dog park, Cascade Park is seemingly 3-4 times larger. The kid's play area is awesome. It's got this hot lava obstacle course. It's really fun.

Small park but big enough to walk your dog and has a playground for kids. One basketball hoop for casual games as well.

Not the best place to go to, but ok if you live close and don't want to go far. There is a food bank every Sunday that starts at 130pm, there is no wage cut off and they get their leftovers from PCC mostly. Worth checking out! The restrooms are kinda run down and creepy, but everything works when I was last there.
There are some homeless people hanging around, but that's almost everywhere in Seattle nowadays. I didn't see any drugs, but it doesn't mean there isn't any. As far as cleanliness goes, I think the parks department has their hands full with all the parks around. But people tend to clean up after themselves so it's not trashed. Not really a dog park, but people do bring them and let them run around.
Trails aren't bad, a lot of greenery (trees, brush and grass).

Overall, Cascade Park is a fabulous city park in South Lake Union. Pluses: substantial grassy playfield, basketball court, separate playgrounds for preschool-age and bigger kids, bathrooms that aren't disgusting—the soap dispenser is always full, and one water fountain. Coffee and good close by. Minuses: check for dog poo in the field before running around, and check bathrooms for nefarious activity before sending your kid in there alone. The city has done work to help the field drain better, but it can still get a little soggy. Sometimes, the fountain is off. There are a few shady areas, but not a lot. I think you could bring a small canopy, though.Playground: Big playground with lots to do! Swingset, slides, zipline, climbing…Restrooms: Usually clean-ish. Always stocked.

Contrary to popular belief this is not a dog-friendly park. There is even a sign on the entrance stating that there are no dogs allowed, though it is blatantly disregarded. This is super frustrating given there is an actual dog park just two blocks away.I attempted to broach this topic with an Asian couple walking their dog and the male Asian told me to “go kill myself.”Stay classy, dog owners.

Cascade Park is great. It's the size of a city block, has a large green field where kids can run and a walking path for their parents to watch from. Nice playground, basketball court, and a couple of bathrooms. There's a garden to the side and a more natural walking path just across from the playground.Overall, not the most interesting but ticks all the boxes.

Smallish park with picnic tables and a good sized playground. There is also a p-patch in a corner of the park. This would seem like a great place to bring a group of kids to have a picnic or party. It would be fairly easy to set up at a picnic table and be able to keep an eye on them while they played at the playground or in the field. There are bathrooms too; also within view of the picnic tables.
