Worst Chase atm in Seattle. Extremely unsafe. This atm distributes cash and then it won’t take the exact same cash as a deposit. It’s “unable to read” it’s own cash and then spits it back at you in a very unsafe place. This is not new. Address this or lose business.

Won't cash savings bonds unless I have a "deposit account". Sure I have four chase credit cards, but apparently that's not enough. They cashed a lady's check despite her not having an account. The last time I cashed a savings bond was at a different chase branch and relatively recently. Discrimination?

Jason helped me with a home loan issue I was having. Even though I didn’t end up needing Chase to solve the problem he was tremendously helpful in finding a solution

It was my first time going to the Chase bank in Ballard. They were so helpful with getting me what I needed. The teller greeted me right when I walked in and even gave my dog some treats. The bank was clean and there were social distancing pads on the floor for where to stand. The friendliest Chase bank that I've been to.

I have been dealing with identity theft and identity fraud. Someone illegally opened a checking account in my name at Chase (I have never and will never bank with Chase) even though they did not have a matching social security number or correct info beyond my name and address. They were also able to open the account despite my ID being voided and reported stolen prior to the account being opened. The thief has been able to write several fraudulent checks, that have of course bounced, in my name and I have had to take a day and a half off of work and lost wages to deal with the issues. When I went to this Chase location to get a notarized affidavit to submit to a store where a fake check was written, they REFUSED to notarize the document because I am "not a Chase customer". So I had to go somewhere else to get that taken care of all because I wasn't a customer. James was nice enough but not knowledgeable at all and had no idea how someone was able to open an account in my name without a matching social and could not understand how they were still writing checks after the account had been closed. I had to explain multiple times that if the checks are not run, stores take them and then try to collect the money later. I also had to explain twice that I was not a Chase customer because he continued to be confused as to why I was at a Chase bank if I did not bank with them - I was there because someone else opened an account in my name at Chase! I have asked that Chase pay me back for the credit monitoring services and/or the lost wages that have resulted from their mistake and they have been dismissive and rude, telling me that there is no recourse I can do - They do not compensate in ANY way at all and they refuse to admit their mistake in letting this account go through. I am appalled at their service and horrified that all it takes to open a checking account and cause this kind of havoc is a name, and it doesn't even have to be your own. Beware people, this could literally happen to anyone at Chase because they have flawed systems in place and don't care about people!

The manager of this bank is SO AMAZING AND UNDERSTANDING!!! Helped me out beyond expectations. No other chase bank in Seattle is as amazing as this one. Crownhill treated me horrible and made me question even if having chase bank as my bank was worth it. But he was so understanding and wanted to help as much as he could. Thank you again!!!

A HUGE thank you to Jason, the VP of the Chase Ballard Branch. I had a headache of an issue with Delta Airlines that I had been working tirelessly to fix since Friday. He stepped in to help me, worked all day today to find me a resolution and just called me saying he fixed it for me. I would still be dealing with the terrible customer service at Delta if it wasn't for him. Jason - thank you so much. You have no idea what your dedication and kindness means to me!!! You helped me trust Chase Bank a little more.

ARROGANT, ILLEGAL banking practices. VIOLATING FEDERAL LAWS. Banking corruption at its finest!!! I have had my accounts with Chase for over two years. Right before Christmas I got a 1900 dollar check from the IRS as a tax rebate. Federal law states that can cash federal IRS checks because it is from the IRS. Instead they REFUSED to cash my check. When I asked them why, they became belligerent and nasty about not cashing my check. They stated, "We cannot cash your check because the policy does not allow it because you don't have 1900 dollars in your account. You only have 1100 dollars in your check account. You can deposit it only, and it will be available to you if the check clears". I stated, "Federal law says that you have to cash a federal IRS check. Are you saying that Federal IRS checks are not good?". Again they said, "Our policy says you can only deposit federal checks". They smirked at me, and told me to take my check somewhere else. It was before Christmas and I needed that money for bills. Then, I went to Portland for the week. I questioned the Chase Bank in Portland Oregon, and they said, "The law says we can cash your IRS checks and Chase Bank was suppose to cash your check". They CASHED MY CHECK. They took the bank branch number and told them it was illegal. This bank does not even care that they violate federal law, nor do they care that they refused to cash a check to a disabled person who uses the bank account to receive federal funds. You think you are above federal law, CHASE BANK? Think again you criminals. I will never do business with THIS BRANCH AGAIN.
