I have never left a bad review, but Checkmate tore off almost half our roof before walking off the job. Had to hire a legitimate roofing company to finish the job before it rained. I will highly >NOT< recommend this company. Plus if you Google the company name they only have a post office box number. No physical address in Washington State as far as I can find. Sketchy. I left an honest review of this business only to have them respond in a very aggressively negative way. They claimed that my wife and I chased them off of our property and that we acted aggressively towards them. They also claim that they refunded us 70% of the monies given them which is completely untrue. We were by no means refunded anything close to 70%. We gave them ample chances to come clean and finish the job only to here excuse after excuse on why it was taking almost 1 month to simply do a partial tear off. In my personal opinion please listen to me and DO NOT hire this company. They threatened to put a lein on my home.

I chose this company because out of the 3 contractors I interviewed they came highly recommended and The owner came himself and explained everything about our project, showed us all the sample that we wanted to see (had a tough time choosing color for my roof) and explained the cost of all of the options. Recently a strong wind came in blew a bunch of my moms shingles off of my moms house. So i looked up checkmate roofing and gave them a call. They got out to my moms house the same day and fixed her roof and was cheaper then i thought it would be. She is happy so i am happy. Thanks checkmate
