This has to be one of the worst banks I have ever worked with! They are very dishonest and when an employee tells me it's not their issue and I quote "as a buyer you should have been aware". I would rather pay a higher interest rate at another bank than deal with people who have no moral values.

This bank is terrible, I've only had problems every time I go in. The latest is that I deposited a check on Friday and they still haven't put it in my account and it's now Tuesday. I haven't eaten in two days now because of this. Plus all the banks around me are closed on Saturday and Sunday so if I get off work late on Friday I have to wait until Monday to deposit my check. Then I have to wait until Wednesday to get any money from them. Don't waist your time with Columbia bank, it's a joke!!!!They don't even deserve one star.

This bank took over my bank and there's so many fees. I went to the ATM didn't even take out money because I declined to take out money because there was a $3.25 fee. I check my account this bank charges $.50 for ATM inquiry even though I never check my balance or took out any money. Horrible conversion!!! and when the conversion took place I wasn't able to access my money or view the website for 3 days. If you see this bank run! Literally run I never saw so many fees in my life.

I needed a replacement bank card. Drove from location to location, as I was told by employees a different branch could issue card. Three branches later and 210 miles driving, again told by Miss A.L "oh not here, we'll overnight card Monday morning, we'll email tracking number" No tracking number emailed. Called three times, no answer after on hold 30+ minutes each call. Chat support on Wednesday told me no card was sent, but would issue another card and email tracking number...again. Mind you this is seven days after requesting and promised next day card. Looking for second promised email...nothing. Finally, ten days later card shows up. Unprofessional, unreliable, untruthful, uncaring, incompetent.

This branch has terrible customer service. Will be taking my little account elsewhere. They don't even say hello when you enter. So rude and act like customers are an interuption. Recently ordered deposit books- asked for two- received and charged for 8 because apparently "one" is 4 books and "two" is 8 books. Not explained at tune of order. When I called to "fix" got the runaround and was finally credited for 4 but not half of 8. Ridiculous. Back to a credit union for me.

Went in for a small auto loan of $5000, and it took them a week for them to reject me. I only wanted the loan to lessen the dent in my account. I had more than 5000 *in* my account already, and can easily do payments. But no.

Columbia bank is a very racist bank. I applied for refinance at the branch in Jersey city. I have all credential for the loan, but they just wanted to give people a hard time. It's nothing but hell.

If there was a zero star..... face it, most of us do a majority of our banking online and Columbia Bank has the absolute worst online banking website in existence. I've used 6 other online banking sites in the course of various businesses and personal use so I've seen a few and Columbia Bank's is terrible even when it works. Not intuitive, often times functions don't work, the most frustrating bank website in existence. Hire some talent and fix it!

Opened savings accounts for my 2 year old and 8 year old 2.5 years ago. Up until the pandemic, we would go in every so often and deposit money for the kids. Over the weekend I opened a statement, and saw fees being charged for the account being inactive. We went into the bank and asked about it and they told us "you should have recieved a notice before you got charged", we hadn't. We asked why we weren't told about the fee and they said "well it would have been in the packet of stuff you got when you opened the account", which I happened to have with me, I showed her the paperwork I was given and she said it wasn't in there. The employee we talked to did not seem to care at all. She was not interested in really helping, so, we closed their accounts. Support local, until they steal from your kids, I guess. When I got home, I did find what they call a "reasonable" but unspecified amount in the paperwork she said didn't have the fee in it. The paperwork said notification was required by law, but I never got it.

I applied for a PPP business loan (COVID-19 SBA program) through them because my bank was not offering it. I gave them a call and was added to an email list. A few days later I was notified by email that I could apply at the provided link. So, I go through the hassle of applying, and then I wait. I email back and forth a bit with a VP to double check I had completed everything correctly. Then I wait some more. Every question I email over is responded to with another question and never a real status update. Six or seven weeks of this go by and I let my VP contact know that I need an answer. No email response this time! BUT I do get a nice letter in the mail a few days later letting me know I was denied because I don't have an existing banking relationship with them. They couldn't have shared that with me when I called initially or during one of the dozen back and forth emails over the last month and a half? And now the loan money's gone so I'm essentially out of luck. I don't know why I'm wasting my time posting this... looking at the other reviews they are obviously bottom of the banking barrel - this review isn't needed to prove that.

I have always loved this bank until today. 2 mths ago I had fraud on my account. I disputed it and the claim was denied because the "website" that took my money is fake...yet I don't get my money back? I'm extremely upset and disappointed with Columbia bank. I will be sure to warn people about them from now on!

Terrible bank! I was given a credit card that is next to useless as it won't work at almost all stores I shop at. One store I have to insert three times then swipe before it works!! My attempts at logging in on my icon locks me out after trying it twice then I have to call to reset another password. I've had to call every time for the last 2 weeks!! I'm closing it and going to a credit union

Nasty manager! Aberdeen nj. Overdraft protection?? BS! I get ssi monthly. Direct deposit. Would not honor a check? Why?? Its up to the manager? Changing my bank ASAP!
