I really don't usually write reviews in general but I had such a bad experience at this salon that I felt I had to. For starters I never got a confirmation for the appointment sent to me just what was shown on the website right after I made the appointment, doesn't really matter but figured worth mentioning. Anyways, the appointment starts out and I show my "stylist" Anne a picture of what I usually get and say they can pretty much do anything I just don't want that. She kind of just stares at it, then moves my hair in a weird spot and asks if I like that I go no because it looked terrible, and then she looks at the picture again and verbatim goes "I can do a shorter version of that, that's pretty much all I can do". Mind you I had very long hair and hadn't gotten a cut since early February, so she definitely could have done something else. She takes out her scissors out of this UV cleaning case obviously meant for cell phones and the case inside has hair all around and just looked unclean, and starts cutting my hair. After awhile she finally brings out the clippers and this is where it started to get really bad, I have very reactive skin and almost every time I get a haircut the stylist mentions it, but I have never had it actively sting so bad, and turn into razor burn. Which shows me that she's not skilled with clippers and should not be using them at all. Anyways, she continues to cut my hair and when it's all said and done it's basically a little longer than a buzz cut, and she turns me around and shows me the back and everything and I was trying to focus on not saying it looked bad so I wasn't really paying attention. I notice later that she didn't even finish the back of my head/neck, I have never had to trim my own hair after a haircut on the same day. I still can't believe I paid $110 for a buzzcut, I knew the price beforehand but I assumed that she would have at least been somewhat creative with my hair. I will never go back here and if you decide to go here literally request any other stylist.Service: Haircut

I'm staying at the Thompson hotel across the street and in their welcome letter they said guests get complimentary blowouts at the Coupe Rokei, SWEET! I love blowouts. Collin did an amazing job. He was super nice, easy to talk to, & super skilled with the blow dryer and round brush. He got my hair nice volume and smooth texture. The front desk girls were really nice too. No surprise charges at the end, just a "all set, you're good to go!" Just like I like it. Even though it's free, don't forget to tip your stylist! Highly recommend, Would definitely come back :)

I walked in the other day to shop for hair products (fortunately they do not carry my brand), and the two women at the front desk were sitting just a couple feet apart chatting with NO MASKS ON. Hello!! Where is your brain?? Not only is it a statewide MANDATE for everyone to wear masks in indoor public settings, but it's common sense. I immediately stopped in my tracks and asked why they weren't wearing masks since it was the current law, and the woman cheerfully and air-headedly proclaimed, "We're a little more relaxed here". WOW. No thank you. By relaxed she must have meant they don't give a sh#t about others' health and well being. I left immediately and will NEVER go back. It's sad because I used to get my hair cut there years ago and they always did good work (but overpriced). But this experience tells me they care more about their own personal comforts than the invisible deadly virus we still must caution ourselves against. I work at a nearby business that the owner of this salon and some of her staff visit on occasion, and after telling my coworkers about my experience there they told me that 2 Coupe Rokei staff members came into our store and announced they were "on their way to get a Covid test because someone at the salon was positive ". Ummm.... way to go! If you're on your way to get tested for Covid after working in close quarters with a positive outbreak, you do NOT stop into other businesses to possibly spread your illness!! Seriously, how D*** are these people?! Infuriating.

I’m obsessed! Collin did such a phenomenal job of listening to what I wanted, and delivering. He didn’t give me an hard sells on product, didn’t try to talk me into anything unnecessary, and made the entire experience effortless. Out of all the salons in Seattle, choose this one. I was excited about getting my hair cut at a fancy salon with Ann, as I was looking for something new and hoping for expert advice on what would look good. Unfortunately what I got was an incredibly boring chopped bob with zero layers or texture which turns into an award triangle with my thick hair. It's also short enough to mean I will need to wait some time before getting it cut again (elsewhere). Major bummer.

Collin did a beautiful job with my hair. Great energy in the salon. They are following all covid guidelines. Masks required, everything is sanitized between clients, and maintaining social distancing by keeping chairs open.

I've been wanting to grow out my dark chocolate dyed locks, covid kind of forced me into revealing the beginnings of a cooler brown mixed with a bit of the greying. I needed a major update. Althya, a top colorist here, set me up right. She foiled me in such a manner that she barely touched my roots, but it blends seamlessly with my hair, I have an updated look, my hair is not fried but luscious, and we made a plan to continue. She took me from deep chocolate to a more beachy, lighter shade of brown that has all my clients and friends gushing. I cannot believe how happy I am!! I look more like I just got back from an amazing vacation than someone who is 9 months into a pandemic. I glow!!! Chef's kiss to Althya!!

The atmosphere at coupe rokei was amazing! I felt so taken care of and supported during my entire appointment. (And I applaud all their efforts and precautions to keep both the customers and staff safe during Covid.) I came in not knowing what I wanted to do with my hair, but Collin was great in helping me figure out exactly what I wanted and much more. It’s clear the stylists love what they do, and do an amazing job of sharing that passion. 10/10 will be back :)
