i came in with a big color correction need and Andrew did an amazing job! he was super patient, listened to exactly what i wanted, and made sure my hair came out looking healthy and beautiful. he turned a tricky situation into a perfect dark brown that i absolutely love. definitely recommend Andrew if you’re looking for someone skilled, kind, and professional!

This review goes out to Campbell! Was referred by a coworker who had amazing hair and had to ask her where she went. I called for a walk in appointment and got more than I could of asked for. I initially wanted to get just a cut, but Campbell was so inviting and reassured me that she could help me achieve my desired goal. So I got a cut and hair dye done all in the same day. I love the end result of my hair and able to go blonde. The price for both service done in one day is something you can't beat (roughly $250 - $300 dependent on tip percentage). The salon is very clean, staff are amazing and so nice, plenty of stock for hair products and more. Campbell will be my new go to hairstyle for all my hair needs and I am looking forward to our next appointment together! Thank you Campbell and Derby Salon! <3

Sabrina did a gorgeous job on my partial highlights :) The colors are blending in beautifully. Looks very natural and not harsh at all. Very knowledgeable and talented. Love coming here and will come back soon for touch up/trim!

Lili does such a great job with coloring and cutting. Not to mention she is great having conversations with while there. The vibe of the salon is really great and all staff is so friendly.

My daughter & I have been here several times and unfortunately did not have great experiences. We were both over-charged (scheduled 45 min haircuts but charged for full haircut) and her cut & partial balayage were close to $500. She’s a college student and that was higher than she was quoted on the phone. The stylists were both a bit rough too. Just too pricey and not a positive enough experience to return.

I love the vibes of the salon but I asked for a partial and the first it didn’t show up at all. Then the 2nd time I got it done, there wasn’t really a difference and it just looked a tiny bit lighter with no sign of highlights. It’s just not really what I asked for at all. Not worth the cost unfortunately.

I got my nails done at a different salon and needed them removed because they were beginning to peel, but I couldn't get them completely off on my own. The original nails were incredibly thick and the person who did them had over filed my nails so they were incredibly weak.
I booked a gel removal and didn't realize it would be a harder process for Gel X, but Cami was still willing to work with it and see what she could do. I'm autistic and expressed the nails were giving me sensory issues. She was very delicate with my hands and very receptive of when too much was too much. The previous salon had done an amazing job with the art but not so much the nail care, but Cami was able to carefully expose my nails and even trimmed them down for me after. My rings of fire were barely noticeable after a few coats of oil.
Would definitely recommend to anyone who needs a manicure.

Super cute salon in the Roosevelt neighborhood! My stylist moved to Tacoma, and I needed to find a new salon in my area where I could book an appointment online. It was really easy to schedule and find parking, and Campbell did an awesome job with a pretty big transformation that I love. They also do nails, facials, makeup, special occasions, and have accessories and art for sale. I will be back!

JESSIE is amazing!!! She gave me a life changing haircut!!! She brought life back to my soul. I had long hair and got a bob. I was a little nervous for the big change but I trusted her and she did so much better than I could have ever imagined. I’m so happy with my haircut. She took her time and did not rush anything. She has an amazing personality and gave such a wonderful shampoo, condition and head massage. She styled my hair as well and gave me tips. She didn’t try to sell me anything or add services I didn’t ask for but she asked if I needed any products. I’ll definitely be going back. I can’t recommend her enough. If you’re searching for a place to go, this is the place and SHE IS THE ONE!

I got a Brazilian Blowout here and the process was so easy with the welcoming environment and my wonderful stylist! She understood my curly hair and made sure mot to rush. One plus is that it’s very easy to book an appointment the website.

Jamie was incredibly rude. She talked to me shortly, & did not provide any services that I wanted; refusing to even try & lighten my hair. I do not recommend this team, especially as when I decided to leave.. I was only met with short remarks & rude facial expressions. 0/5
