Not nearly enough parking. I had to drop off my family at the beach and then waited outside until they were ready. Not well organized.
Playground: Fun playground for kids. Not as big as expected but still good.

I’ve been here many times in the past. I love the path around the park, walking down to the beach, the views of the sound; Year round this place has something to offer. Took a friend here for the first time on a soggy drizzly day and she kept saying how beautiful it was. It’s a little out of the way for most visitors, but it’s worth the stop.

Easy access to the water. I would bring comfy rain boots and a rain jacket. There is a wonderful cultural center midway if you are doing the full loop
Toilets: Lots of restrooms

A magical gem in Seattle. The views are incredible and since the beach is in a secluded area, the paths are less crowded. It's a great space if you don't want to deal with too many other people. However, the trail is not for the faint of heart as there are lots of hills, narrow pathways, jagged edges. Additionally, bathrooms are few and far in between. I think this is important to know for those with physical disabilities and small children.
The best time to go is early in the morning on a weekday! Barely anyone around and you may spot a bald eagle!

One of the best parks in the city! Check out the beaches and low tide, hike, walk or run the trails, see the lighthouse, fantastic views from the meadow, wildlife, tennis courts, kid play area... this place is great!

Every time you go here, there’s an opportunity to check out a different path or a different end destination or just a different way to walk around and enjoy the many seasons that discovery Park showcases so well. I’ve had engagement photos taken here in the summer and taken photos of other people as well and it is a great place to be with friends or family or just go on a solo walk with your pet.
