Early Masters is an Art History school for kids age 9-16, in Seattle's Roosevelt neighborhood. We offer workshops in art history and painting focusing on a myriad of artists and styles. We look at everything from street art, to Da Vinci. Shelley Thomas, founder and instructor, intentionally crafts each workshop specifically to her students and balances theoretical exploration with hands on painting practice. Great art classes fort kids, and sometimes parents and kids! Shelley does a wonderful job of encouraging students. The classes usually has an element of art history built in to give context to the painter, something not always offered for the age group.
