I bought a salish wool blanket online years ago that I cherish. On a road trip I stopped in to see the store in person, tall ceilings and it smelled amazing in there! The staff were really nice, we were wearing the same brand mukluks. I was on a mission (and a budget!) and knew exactly what I wanted, left with two new blankets for gifting that came in beautiful boxes with handles. Last minute picked some socks out for my husband, they feel like really good quality while also being beautiful! Next time I'll buy a scarf for myself, one of the beautiful silky ones. I'm so happy to see Native businesses thriving! Congrats to the whole team, seeing your work on the cover of vogue is a milestone! :)

I love the brand, designs, quality, and its mission. But the new space seems a bit empty to me- they seem to be offering fewer products, or maybe the initial designs are sold out and they are getting new ones- I hope so they get more earring designs soon, especially the wood ones and cups. I miss being able to buy individual cards.

Visited the new location in August 2023 and the space was beautiful and the staff were extremely helpful. With all of the purchases, they also included a card about the artist of the work.

Just received my pillows I ordered today in the mail. They are even more beautiful in person! Very vibrant colors and actually very comfortable. So glad I took a chance and ordered them. I will definitely be placing future orders. Oh! And the pillows were reasonably priced as well. ❤️

I'm coming here for years. Everything is made with the highest quality! Staff is very kind and helpful. One of the coolest shops in the Pike Place Market.

Eighth Generation is my favorite space to shop in Seattle! Every product I have from them is of the highest quality and every time I come in the service is wonderful. When friends visit me from out of town I always bring them here on my "tour" of Seattle. We bought a wool blanket as part of a land acknowledgment for our wedding. The mountain top was about 30 degrees F and the blanket kept me so warm! Now the blanket is a momento from our day. It’s been almost 3 years and the blanket is still soft, bright and no pilling or snags even with regular use. We’ve also purchased 4 stockings made from blanket scraps which are beautiful and resourceful. My coworkers often ask about the beautiful enamel pin I wear on my lanyard while teaching. My favorite part about this business is the opportunity to support Native artists rather than art that has been appropriated. I feel confident that every sale will directly benefit Indigenous business people rather than others profiting off of Native arts. Can't recommend this shop enough!!

Lovely store that showcases indigenous art from local artists. Bought a really pretty silk scarf. Helpful and friendly staff. Super interesting to walk around store and look at profiles on the different artists and designers for each product.

Nice blankets, suspect practices and advertising. My partner purchased two "Gold Label" blankets which were clearly advertised as "made in our Seattle studio." The blankets arrived and were nice enough, but upon closer inspection I found the pellon label and it was marked "Made in China." When I later pointed this out on social media, including how the product pages were misleading, I got no response. I happened across that posting again and thought to check their webpage. Sure enough, they edited the product descriptions and a *huge* number of their products were now unlisted from the Gold Label category. My initial feedback was mysteriously missing but the company answered subsequent commenters asking about manufacture by telling them to carefully read the product descriptions. Which we had done as well, only to find they weren't accurate back then. Mighty close to the old bait and switch...and it makes me wonder how many others were mislead before I pointed it out and they edited their product pages accordingly. This business goes to great lengths to push "buy small, support Native" but engages in the same lousy tactics as your everyday businesses. Woke capitalism is still just plain old capitalism, gang.

A must stop while in Pikes Place or online while shopping for the holidays, so many works by inspired natives to take home and gift. I love the throw I found here as we recently moved from Alaska to Washington and both Denali and Tahoma are included.

Flew all the way from New York to keep supporting this business in person. We love our blankets and plan on filling our home and our family’s homes with even more.

Loved this place. We lived in Alaska for 25 years and retired along the Oregon coast. Interesting native stuff. We were looking for masks.
