If you want your loved one to live longer & better, then avoid this place!!!! My heart shatters as I recount the agony of watching my beloved cat suffer at Emerald. In the morning, he had a seizure, and I rushed him there, only to endure five excruciating hours of neglect. No calls, no action. When we finally brought him home, he seized again. At 7 pm, Emerald nonchalantly informed me of an erroneous asthma diagnosis. My poor cat missed crucial treatment time and passed away the next day, and I wasted $2400 on their incompetence. I'm livid at the reckless misdiagnosis that robbed my pet of timely care. Emily Fukuzato is so unprofessional and she knows nothing. AVOID this place.

I don't understand all the bad reviews about having to wait in a car for hours during the pandemic... it's an emergency clinic... Wait times will vary depending on the day and during the pandemic all Seattle area vets had a wait in car policy and would only take your animal inside.Anyhow we unfortunately visited a few times last week for our dog Lola. The front desk, techs, and vet were quick to help, informative, and super friendly. They talked about the treatment plan and estimates before doing anything I may not have been comfortable with. We had to leave our dog Lola for an extended period and they called me multiple times with updates and answered any questions I had.I have been to other emergency clinics multiple times but decided to try this one and i'm really glad I did. If any of my animals ever need it I will be returning here in the future. Thanks for taking care of Lola :)

I called them over the phone to determine whether or not I should bring my dog in, they were both clear and efficient in answering my questions. They gave very detailed responses and it didn't feel rushed like most animal ERs usually do, which was very nice!Additionally, they were able to accommodate my dog reactive dog. They were wary in protecting his trust with the vets. Staff was very friendly, mindful, and patient. Going here was a fantastic change of pace from my usual vet experiences with my sometimes high strung and very loud dog.I would highly recommend them for anyone with a sensitive dog or who just wants a higher quality of care for their pet :)Something to note is they don't have a parking lot, and so it is street parking only. It's an RPZ area.ETA: I did not read any of the reviews before I went here, and am not sure what's going on with people's negative experiences but the staff I interacted with today were truly great.

We really appreciate everything they did for our kitty. They called multiple times a day with updates and I could call at any time to check in. We know they did everything they could for our sweet girl.

Tonight, Dooney Bromberg Lions, my 17-year-old Chorkie, went to heaven at this kind and considerate clinic. We always hope our lovely pets can pass peacefully in their sleep at home in their favorite bed but that's not usually the case. I'm so glad they were open and available for us. This is a photo of him happily running through a local park summer 2023 . RIP my love.

I have never met a more rude, argumentative, unhelpful, and provocative veterinary clinic employee in my life. She was rude to every person not being provided service, and this tried to interrogate me about a lost/stray little dog. "How do do know it was abandoned? Did you see it happen? I need to know! How do you know it has a chip?" Me: I was told.It doesn't matter in the end. My stepdaughter was wrong. Who cares? Just grab the device for checking and get it over with. Why stand there in front of clients and try to debate when a solution could be reached. Thankfully, a client was there that posted on Facebook. The dog was reunited with her owner. The Good Samaritan lady should be working there. She was kind, unlike the staff at this facility. I would not trust Satan nor his demonic comrades, let alone violent serial felons in their care. I even looked her in the eyes and said, "You really are a difficult person." She just stood silent and stared. That apparently is the one way to shut her up. You should have seen her being rude to the woman before me! She feigned ignorance for barely searching for the poor woman. She had been waiting for hours to get her cherished pet seen. She must be a very lonely person. Get help elsewhere. These people are NOT going to care for your dog. Please do not take your pets here. Go where they have souls and don't act like empathy is foreign to them, like a curse word.

Responsive and caring but do not respect asks to minimize expenses. I took my geriatric dog there as he was having trouble breathing. They did a great job of bringing him in, communicating with me, and caring for him. I told them palliative care only and to minimize costs. They gave him oxygen and antibiotics (good), but also a bunch of anti-nausea meds I never needed or used, plus tests that didn’t help. Total cost for about 8 hours of care was about $3500. I’ve talked to others with similar situations and they think I got gouged, so I figured I’d write this review as a warning.

Emerald City Emergency Vet staff were incredibly kind, understanding and diligent. Dr. Mullin was thorough, consistent and honest with my cats diagnosis after rushing him in the middle of the night for what I thought was a life threatening urinary block. Thankfully, it is able to be managed and was handled in a timeline manner. For ever grateful to the team!

Staff is incredibly kind, patient, and thorough, despite having limited personnel. The first time I had to call they were the 4th 24hr clinic I contacted, and though they couldn't see us, they were the only ones that gave advice that may have saved my dogs life (he had eaten raisins and peroxide to induce vomiting was unknown to me). Tonight was my first actual visit; my dog was stung by a hornet and they took several calls from me in about a 15 minute span before telling me to bring him in, he was in their care for an hour or two and they quite possibly saved his life again.

Incredibly responsive care for my dog. Such kindness towards me as I navigated my worst nightmare. All their choices and recommendations centered my dog’s well being, were practical, solid, and kind, and I would not hesitate to recommend them to others.

We called them because we were worried about our dog. They answered right away, had us fill out the intake form and then came in. Luckily it was a slow night so they got him in right away. The person helping us was extremely kind, understanding, and helpful. They did the initial exam and came out and gave us information that was helpful, and we felt like they were doing and telling us what was best for him and us, NOT trying to upsell or anything just to make money. We’ve gone there once before and they helped us out a lot then too, we appreciate you all! Working in an emergency vet clinic is hard and probably thankless but we are VERY thankful for them being there and open and willing to help.
