The Space Needle is a lot of fun. Great views, the ability to see through clear floors from that high up is unique!

Nice little gift shop for folks looking to bring back souvenirs of Seattle. Some items are priced accordingly and other items are priced pretty high. It’s a cashless venue so be prepared.

My recent visit to The Essentially Seattle Gift Shop left me with mixed feelings. While there were aspects that I appreciated, there were also a few areas that left room for improvement.

Walked in and no greeting or acknowledgment from the counter help but as soon as a caucasian party of 3 walked in minutes later the troll behind the counter came alive and greeted them with the warmest welcome. Being beautiful and black in america is a REAL reminder to pale people of everything they are not...human.

We loved our experience here. Gift shop right across the street from the Seattle space needle. Genique was absolutely amazing at helping us and my toddlers pick out the perfect gifts to take back home to Florida. We enjoyed watching her make pins as well. Thank you, guys!! ?

Is a bit mislabeled as a “gift shop”. It’s solely focused on sports apparel and sports gifts. It’s an awesome place to shop if you’re looking for Seattle sports anything. If you’re looking for a non-sport gift, save your time and shop elsewhere.

I really liked this store.
I found Seattle gift shops oddly sparse on t shirts or other items that were not Starbucks, Pride, Sleepless in Seattle, Friends, or Kraken related. This was the first store I found that was well stocked and had a variety of shirts in decent designs. The girl working was friendly and personable and put my wallet that I accidentally left behind under the counter, when I came rushing back in a complete panic, she remembered me and handed it back.
I did read the other review, and do have to admit that the shirts were oddly folded, if you pick a shirt up, it's very unlikely that you'll be able to put it back in the same configuration, there was a girl there when I came back for my wallet who was using one of those plastic folding things on the shirts.

My girlfriend and I were sizing up a couple shirts that we quite liked and were prepared to buy when the man working in the store came over to us. He told us to not unfold all of the shirts (we had unfolded two to size them and were going to buy them) because we weren’t the ones who had to fold them back up. Needless to say, we did not buy the shirts, we folded them back up and left, appalled by the customer and retail service, both of which I have a background in.
We did buy shirts next door from Essentially Seattle, a store I would highly recommend.
