Nightmare experience trying to schedule an appointment for a life insurance policy, which was supposed to be done at my home. They didn't have anyone available in June, told me they would call me back after the 4th of July. They did and made me an appointment for Juky 19th. Turns out they made an in office appointment for some reason, and now they want me to wait until the middle of August...

Getting my life insurance exam done here was quick and easy. I was seen shortly after arrival and was done in maybe 15 min? The woman who helped me was courteous and professional. She made sure to switch arms when doing the BP readings. Their height measurement tool was confusing bc there was some tape / marking on it that caused her to initially think I was shorter than I am, but she at least checked with me if the measurement sounded right / expected (it was wrong) and then fixed it to my correct height. She explained forms to me as I signed them. My insurance quote remained the same from initial application to final after this exam. The low reviews/ratings initially scared me from this place, but I didn’t have many options to get this exam done for my insurance anyway. I was pleasantly surprised that my experience was nothing like some of these other reviews suggest.

The staff were polite enough but that's not enough to make up for how uncomfortable I was. The offices are gross. Kinda soviet. The exam room was absurdly cold (like maybe 60 degrees?) with a wide open window. I was told to strip to my bra for an EKG. The technician said they complained about the heat but no thought was put into keeping people comfortable. No blanket. No space heater. And what's the point of checking ID only to have me leave a urine sample in a container with no label in a public restroom? Just yuck.

I went there for a life insurance exam and got a new worker. She didn’t know how to check a blood pressure. I’m a nurse and check my pressure daily, never have I got the numbers she got. She checked it 3 times on the same arm back to back to back. Not supposed to do that. Also, took a while to find my vein to draw blood which I have HUGE veins. All in all, my insurance premium doubled. Thanks a lot!

Really bad experience. They are unorganized, you can tell they don't care, impolite and rude. Would go to another place. Highly suggest going to a different place.

Full disclosure, I work in the medical field and know it can be difficult dealing with patients and drawing their blood. I have worked as a phlebotomist in family practice so feel like I can sympathize with people having to go into a strangers home and do it for a living. That said this was not a good experience. I greeted my exam person at my front door wearing a mask (again I work in medical) he looks at me and says "oh, do I need to wear a mask?" I said yes, he says he's vaccinated, I let him know I am too. It's covid folks, I don't know him, or where he's been all day, he doesn't get to come into my house without a mask. He pulled out of his pocket a many times worn crumpled up paper mask. I peed in the cup and poured it in the vials as asked. I asked him what they would be testing for- he was very vague. He proceeded to state he'd been a paramedic for 20 years and had been doing this job for 20 years. Assuming he was trying to put me at ease, I acknowledged this and said that was good to know. I then had the worst experience of my life getting a blood draw. Now I will say this he only poked me once but every thing he did up to that poke goes against all contemporary training. He had the tourniquet on my R arm for almost 5 minutes, had me pump over and over again, slapped my arm repeatedly etc. and then stated he couldn't find a vein (I've never once had a troubled stick and have 3 visible veins that have all been used before). He proceeded to repeat the same process on the L arm. Still says he can't find a vein. (I've got 2 good veins in the L) he then repeats it again in the R arm. Only to tell me he just can't find a single vein, then asking if I'd hydrated. I let him know I'd had 36 oz in the last 2 1/2 hours alone, so, yes. He then asks if he can look at my hands and explains he only gets two sticks. I've got really good hand veins as well but let him know they roll so he'd need to anchor them well. That's when he started getting snotty with me. He repeats he's been doing this for 20 years, as if at this point it would convince me of anything. After submitting to 15 minutes of my circulation being cut off in both arms while he poked and slapped them; to his credit he finally got the stick in my hand. But while I give him credit for this, he didn't bother to sanitize his hands, used an alcohol wipe that was almost dry on my hand and then proceeded to wipe it off with a gauze square that he'd handled multiple times with his unclean hands. Once the 20 minutes of torture was over, he proceeded to take my blood pressure and then asked me if I had ever been treated for hypertension. I haven't, and have never had a blood pressure reading over 126/80 in my life. I let him know that I'm not very fond of blood draws and it might have been a better to check his patients blood pressure before he try's drawing their blood. The data he then recorded in my file was all fictitious- he recorded the wrong weight, fictitious blood pressure readings and a pulse rate that he never even checked. While this may be in my favor I feel it should be noted. I acknowledge that all phlebotomist do things differently, but I seriously don't think this man should be doing the job. If he does, he needs retraining on hand hygiene , current blood collection techniques and proper timing of procedures so he gets accurate readings. If he is representative of the company as a whole I would not recommend this company.

Went for my life insurance exam. Covid has them VERY low on staff, so the examining doctor was the only employee I saw when I was there.I had to wait a bit because the person before me took a while, but I could hear the rooms being cleaned before I was called backOverall, a good experience (as much as this kind of exam can be! Blood samples are never Fun ?)

For all the negative reviews, you’d think something would have changed by now. The folks who take the calls will be yell and aren’t polite at all. The surroundings are just littered with filth everywhere. You can tell they don’t care. No one who works here is polite and it’s just a joke. Unprofessional behavior that will never change because the company isn’t bothered to fire or retain employees. If you can, go somewhere else. Nothing will ever get fixed and this company nor it’s employees deserve your time and money.

Incompetence. Ridiculous. Can't even post a 1 star review without typing more. Typing typing typing please let the public know this company should be reevaluated.

Can I give no stars? Calls 30 minutes before appointments cancelling and won't reschedule for two weeks. INCREDIBLY UNPROFESSIONAL! When they first called to cancel it was because a worker had car trouble, then on a later phone call it was a family emergency. What it really is is laziness, incompetence, and lack of consideration for others. Companies should stop using their services.

I contacted Exam One to make an appointment for blood work/urinalysis for my client and had very unpleasant experience of speaking to Lesley. She seemed very laid back with a lazy drawl. She did not seemed the least bit enthused about her job. I spelt pretty much everything for her but still she had everything wrong. At some point she told me in a frustrating voice that she could not understand me and that I have a heavy accent. I told her that I did not have a heavy accent (Never been told that before) and I told her, she had a accent that was hard to understand but, I was not making a fuss about it. I told her English is my first language. She told me she speaks English just fine and promptly informed me that I could go online and make an appointment and then ploop, she hung up.I called back and spoke to Megan and then Kevin a Team Leader (both of whom apologized for their colleagues behavior. So, in the end I met pleasant and courteous people. I really wanted to give a 1 star but for Megan and Kevin. I am giving a 3 star only because of Lesley.

I went to ExamOne today (after they made it a priority to get me there in short order, even though it meant extra work for them) and Bobbie specifically could not have been friendlier or more helpful. She mentioned that there is new management in place so I think that might be the difference between my experience and the experiences mentioned below but two huge thumbs up for Bobbie and the experience I had there today.
