The absolute nicest people work here. They’ve cleaned up the parking lot, however at a price. Now full time security everywhere and even nail polish is locked up. I hope things get better - it’s important we keep shopping here so it does!

To start, ample parking and car charging spots. Add to that a great pharmacy staff that will figure out insurance SNAFUs. 12 self serve checkouts. Discounted items throughout the store. Over 1000 Sq ft of produce. 100% friendly staff. There is nothing to dislike, except the sting of vaccines... got like 4 there. So cool.

So, after coming from my European vacation mid August, I came to a new security setting at this store. Hmmm ?. I get it, I have witnessed more shoplifters successfuly and without any barriers stealing for at last 15 years from this store, than I can count. The CEO will not compensate out of their pockets for those losses, honest shopers will, and the employees will, by not receiving fair pay. Living three blocks away, I have shopped at this store for 30 years now and have spent between 250K-350K. I have always been happy with the customer service and prices... until few years ago. But the latest addition of the security guards, asking honest shoppers for their receipt, has reached my boiling point. I was last night in your store, shopping for my needs, when two shoplifters in less than five minutes ran through the back emergency exit without much of fret from the employees/management, let alone the TWO security guards who are busy asking paying, law-abiding citizens/shoppers to show their receipts. WTH??? Does this make sense to anyone??? When I raised my unhappiness about it, one of the female amployees had gut to say that the guards there are to protect the employees, when they clearly check for receipts. They have computer screens in front of them, with the view of all the security cameras around the store, and they feel they have right to ask for receipt, on top of that??? Guess what Fred Meyer, you are NOT going to treat me as a criminal for leaving my hard-earned $$$$$$ at you store(s). Our money are your employees paychecks. I will be exploring legal action for my rights as a honest shopper.If you ask me for a receipt (any proof of purchase), it is because of assumption that I don't have one, in other words, you assume that I stole. When I do show you my receipt, then you are out!!! From now on, I will be recording my interraction with those security guards each time I am asked for a receipt, and will be transfering those recordings to my legal counsel for a case building.I highly encourage other shoppers to do the same and voice themselves against being policed for spending their hard-earned money. Otherwise, what's next we will be submitted to???I am not a criminal and will NOT allow to be treated as one!!! F that!!!

Bartells is gone. This neighborhood needs Fred Meyers, we can't just have Grocery Outlet as the only option... wishing it would go out of business is silly. The store is fine, just suffering from the same issues as elsewhere in the city.

Hhmmm.... Not my favorite location. Never really had a problem here, it's just so busy and hectic at nearly all times of day and night. Fred Meyers is not really my favorite anyway. Again, no real problems, just, ugh. I would rather go somewhere else as long as it isn't far away.

Depressing store, not clean and rampant shoplifting. Armed guards at the door checking your grocery recipt! I hate to pile it on, but instead of having more live checkers, FM has installed more self checkout stands. More customer congestion and an even greater need for security to be checking bags. Not enough live checkers!

They have a great selection of food and fresh produce to choose from. Their Customer Service is always helpful, and the added Security is a Big Improvement.

Armed guards entering and leaving. Dogs allowed in store. Vagrents inside and outside store. Customers who do not know how to behave in a store. Everything under lock and key. ID required for booze smokes lighters, I am well over 21. Are these adults or morons? I have been a customer of this store since it opened in 1995. Vagrants smashing front doors several times. This place is the pits. Why don't you go out of business?

PEOPLE OF COLORBEWARE of the the white female security guard. She will only check people of colors receipts and say it’s “protocol” but ignores everyone else’s receipts. She is also very aggressive and rude.She should be fired for this injustice.
