I just bought a commuter bike on Wednesday and needed to replace the saddle. Rolled into this place and the lady (who was awesome) walked me through how the saddle library works. $20 deposit and you can try out any of their 10 saddles for up to a week, and keep trading them in. However, the price was $100 - $140 for the saddles, which was more than I was looking to spend. She immediately picked up on this and directed me to recycled cycles - also awesome.

I recently had my bike in for a tune up and refresh. Free Range did a fantastic job with some rerouting of cables and general tune up tasks. I appreciated their interest to listen to me and communicate questions and answers during the tune and parts swapping. Definitely will return to their shop and route folks here for bike work as well as all-road/bike touring gear. Thanks Free Range Cycles!

I am so grateful I purchased my bike from this shop. It is the cutest little shop! Shawna and crew provide excellent service. They are earnest in working with you and do their best to help customers feel comfortable and welcomed. It is a great place to visit if you know nothing about bikes, or if you’re a seasoned pro!
They do get busy (like every other bike shop in the world), so if you need serious work done, expect to make an appointment.
Their selection is top notch, and they have everything you need (locks, lights, bottle cages, and of course bikes) to get on the road. Their bike selection is great, with steel frames to get you ready to roll.

I had such a wonderful experience at Free Range. I was looking to buy a new bike and called ahead to talk to them. When I got there they already had a bunch of bikes picked out for me in my size. The customer service was amazing and I felt so comfortable talking about my skill level and what I was looking for with the women working there. Shawna, the owner, and Hana helped me with everything and really set me up for success. I got to test ride a few bikes and found the perfect one for me. They were so efficient and I bought a bike my first time shopping for one. With my purchase, they sent me an email with all the information I needed to make sure I was taking care of my bike (what kind of lock I should be using, tips and best practices) which is so helpful as a new biker, and a great reminder for everyone. I highly recommend going to Free Range Cycles!

My experience with Free Range has been nothing but excellent.Bike shops aren't know for their inclusivity, but I have been so impressed and thankful for how the staff has created a place to learn and get quality services. From repair advice, bike selection, and maintenance, they've been with me each step of the way. I've never felt stupid or inconvenient (like I have at other shops) but leave feeling more jazzed to continue biking each time I stop by. Today I'm on the best bike of my life and I won't stop thanking them.Can't recommend them enough!

I came in looking for some miscellaneous hardware for a project bike. Shawna, the owner, was very helpful and the shop was so well organized I found what I needed right away! We talked a bit about what I was building and her questions were educated and insightful--I was extremely impressed with her knowledge! I'd absolutely recommend this shop to anyone.
