They ordered the wrong parts, but didn’t notice it until the day I was supposed to pick the car up, which added another week to the repair. Manager said they’d pick up the car rental fees for the extra days, it’s been three weeks and that STILL hasn’t happened. The headlight they installed filled up with condensation the day after I picked it up, as it rained that night. They ordered a second new headlight so I had to bring it back to have that installed. Can’t seem to get anyone on the phone to handle the rental car fees that Enterprise still hasn’t been paid for. Just an all around awful and frustrating experience.

If you want friendly and professional service this is your place. Body work and paint turned out perfect. Felt like I had the “Nordstrom” experience because they went above and beyond with everything! They set up the car rental, they did an awesome job on my car, I received regular updates, it was done on time, I had a little problem not related that they helped me with, really great service! I will recommend them to family.

It was great working with Jon at Gerber-Thorndyke. I appreciated the communication and all the effort in rectifying repair to my truck even though some parts were discontinued from the manufacturer. Friendly, informative, and definitely would recommend.

Excellent Service!
Gerber Collision & glass made the entire repair process incredibly smooth and stress-free. Scheduling through Geico was easy, and from the very first contact, I was warmly received and well taken care of.
The team was both professional and friendly, providing clear weekly updates about the status of my car, which I really appreciated. The repairs were completed quickly and right on time, and the quality of the work was excellent.

BEWARE! Unethical Billing and Abysmal Service at Gerber Collision Interbay
I am writing this review to share an absolutely infuriating and frankly, unethical experience I had with Gerber Collision Interbay for body show repairs on my car. My hope is that this will serve as a serious warning to others considering their services.
From the outset, I encountered deeply concerning billing practices. In example, I was explicitly told by their staff that they routinely bill for labor hours that are not actually worked. To hear a representative openly admit to such a dishonest practice is beyond shocking and speaks volumes about their lack of integrity.
Furthermore, they attempted to double-bill me for services. It felt like a blatant attempt to inflate the final cost and take advantage of me as a customer. When I questioned these discrepancies, I was met with resistance and evasiveness.
Adding insult to injury, Gerber Collision Interbay refused to honor the deductible that was clearly agreed upon at the start of the service. This complete disregard also happened after they have received the extra payment from the insurance company and still tried to charge that / refuse to accept payment for the same amount felt like a deliberate act of bad faith.
To be cognizant of these unethical billing practices, the overall service was ok - as expected, nothing beyond normal.
Since the repairs, I have been subjected to aggressive collection tactics for charges that I believe are inflated and illegitimate due to their unethical practices and refusal to honor our agreement. This ongoing harassment has added significant stress to an already negative experience.
It is incredibly disappointing that a well-known chain like Gerber, which often carries a perception of reliability, would harbor a location operating in such a dishonest manner. Proximity and brand recognition offer no guarantee of trustworthy service in this case.
I urge anyone in need of body repair services to steer clear of Gerber Collision Interbay. My experience has been one of unethical billing, poor service, and undue stress. There are undoubtedly more honest and reputable body shops that deserve your business.
Save yourself the headache and potential financial exploitation – look elsewhere!
