Went to H-mart today for groceries as usual but was disappointed by the cashier’s attitude.I had both dry and wet stuff (from the freezer) in my basket so I decided to get some free plastic bags from the veggie section to separate them out. When I went to check-out, the cashier asked me why did I do that. I answered nicely that was because I don’t want to get my dry products wet. And all of a sudden, he was giving me attitudes and replied that what I was doing made it harder for him to scan stuff, because he had to take the stuff *out* from the plastic bags and proceeded to scan. Meanwhile, he didn’t manage to put the stuff back to the plastic bags. When I asked him to do so politely, he was saying “ugh, ok.” Bro literally had one job, to scan stuff and ask customers to pay. If this is too challenging for you, you should work elsewhere. There’s one lady upstairs, offered me directions of the things that I was looking for. Very friendly and helpful. She was the reason why I gave three stars. Please train your cashiers.

Lots of ready-to-microwave meals. Helpful staff. Don't miss the upstairs; when we went, we couldn't find a lot of ingredients, because we weren't aware of the upstairs, where most of those are.

I just love this place. small shop, but fun to be in. they have an upstairs with more stuff, and the food they sell is just like any gas station but with other Korean stuff which is cool

A good place to grab herbs, sauces and spice mixes, as well as noodles. Probably your cheapest bet for cilantro, Thai basil, green onions, and lime leaves. Occasionally stocks Rambutan which are amazing.Good selection of curry pastes, oils and sauces on the first floor. Can be hard to find rarer/speciality ingredients, but great for most Asian ingredients. While hmart does carry other conventional groceries like milk etc, but would not come here for that as it is pricierWould recommend.

This H-Mart has two floors, and carries a lot more stock than I was expecting at a campus H-Mart! When asking for help finding an item, the staff I interacted with was very polite and helpful. Very clean inside. I highly recommend grabbing necessities there!

Very busy. The store is upstairs/downstairs, so it's easy to not find what you want.... then realize they have everything you need and didn't know it. Love the culture/vibe of the store. They have a security guard in the front, which feels nice and the crowd is very U-district.

Great store with lots of Asian foods and drinks but not that much staff and a bit hard to locate(or at least it was for me).

I needed a place to grab some Korean staples, there is an upstairs and downstairs so they will most likely have what you need. One of their security guards came up to me as I was trying to shop while asking me various questions such as if I was Korean, if I was shopping alone, and if I could follow his youtube channel.

America's H mart is way better than Canada because it has such a wide variety of Korean alcohol beverages and really good prices

Nice selection of Korean Goods at a reasonable cost for imported goods. However, the freezer section isn't using the right unit, as the items at the front, tend to be halfway thawed out.

I think can understand it in a form that is close to a kind of convenience store. There is no Deli's food, only gimbap, but they sell cooked food at H mart grab and go across the street. It should be useful for school student but space of store is small and kind of items also less than other H mart so I said it is like combining store ,

This place is where i always buy snacks with friends but today shout out to the two cashiers for busy talking with each other, didn’t offer any bag. I have to ask for one, still busy talking while bagging my stuff and when i checked my bag at home, there was one missing item. So unprofessional. I hope they trained their staff properly in the future.

A lot of stuff here that's specialized for asian audiences. Good mochi. The prices are a bit much but shopping on the sales makes it better.

Excellent smaller H-mart. You can find most essential Asian food here. But since it is a smaller branch, lower your expectations on varieties. Always very good service and fast check out. You can even grab some hot food and Korean taps across the street in their sister store.
