Usually get checks cashed same day, this bank takes a long time to cash checks, so I spoke with the manager Bailey and asked if she could cash it. She said she could offer me this "favor" and asked how I would like my money. I said "Well I'd like it to be on my card since I don't like carrying that amount of cash with me, if that's possible." She said "Ok" and gave me my deposit slip. I go out to eat and they say my card declines. I tell the waiter try again because I just went to the bank. It declines again. Thankfully the server trusted me enough to let me leave their establishment so I could find out what happened to my money. I go back to the bank and Bailey says "It's going to take 3 days because you dont have enough money in your account to cover the pay roll check. (Why does this bank hold payroll checks, I cash the same check for the same amount every two weeks...) So i get kind of upset explaining that the whole point of me coming to this bank to cash my check was so I could get my money today and not wait for the mobile process, as she said to me "Yes I can do you this favor by giving you the money today" but when she asked how I would like my money, through cash or on my card, i guess there was never really an option and that if i actually wanted my money today that the only way would've been cash and not on my debit. The whole ordeal was embarrassing because I was even on a date and had to explain to several people why I had no money to pay with. It took me alot of energy and patience to get Bailey to reverse the card transaction and just cash me out. She was very rude, took a demeaning tone, and acted like it was my fault that I asked for same day card. She did not apologize for any miscommunication. I will be changing banks. This is not the only location I've had problems with this bank at, so I will be closing my account. I do not recomend this bank to anybody.1 positive thing however, There is a taller white guy, (his name might be Pete?)that manages this bank who I have literally never had a problem with! He knows how to talk to people and he's the best employee this company has.
