This is one of the most unprofessional experiences I have ever had my life. I have a somewhat unique tax situation that I was told after calling three separate H&R Blocks that a tax professional at this location could handle.I specifically called this H&R Block and told them the exact details of my tax situation and asked them pointedly if they could help and if I needed to come in person for this. This location is over an hour from where I live so it would be quite a drive that I would have to make over a work day.I was told that yes they handle my situation but I would have to come in person. I then asked if I could be emailed a list of everything I would need to bring or upload. This list never came even after I called about it. This is already making me wary but I go to the appointment. So after a ten hour work shift I drive out to Northgate at 8PM. My tax professional was obviously completely unprepared for my situation and had no idea about any of the very clear details I had described on my initial phone call about my situation. It was clear this man had not even looked over my file or talked to any of the secretaries about what I had called about. When I pressed him on then why the secretary had told me that it could be handled and told me I had to come out to Northgate, he gave me some song and dance about the secretaries are constantly in and out and don't really know the details of how these tax situations work. So this is a location with people answering the phone who are essentially useless in being helpful in any meaningful capacity. It would have taken a single five minute phone call on any of the previous week to ask me questions to find out that I could not be helped. I would not have been upset that my situation is not something that can be handled at present. I'm furious that this should have been easily figured out before I had to make a two hour round trip after a work day to get told that my situation is far more complicated than he realized and that he was not at all prepared for it.I will actively tell people to never use H&R Block. This has been one of the most unprofessional things I have ever dealt with

I had good practice with Mr. Dorner. He offered clear answers to all my questions and helped me to understand the taxes for the income.

I took a chance on this particular branch of HR Block from a friend's recommendation, but the reviews were mixed. I decided to come here anyway and had the easiest tax experience ever! Michelle was really knowledgeable, laidback but extremely professional and put me at my ease after having had a nightmare of a tax accountant experience last year (the only time I ever really wanted to give No Stars on a review site). This year was TOTALLY opposite. Taxes were completed in a timely fashion, all mistakes from last year were corrected and I came out of there feeling that I had been finally properly looked after, listened to and had had everything explained to me. I wholeheartedly recommend Michelle (who usually works in a different office, I believe) Excellent choice, excellent service.

Went into the office and met with a consultant, I thought the meeting was great and was hopeful things are going to be taken care of. I was told that I’d hear back after a couple days - fast forward 4 weeks and I have not received a word, a call or a text. I called the office a few times to follow up and it was hard to get to a customer service rep.. When someone finally picks up, I was told that I would get a call back - that never happened. Service is frustrating and stressful.

I switched to H&R Block for the year round tax support, as well as the small business expertise. Unfortunately, I have not received the tax assistance that I require or was promised when making the switch. At this specific office, the tax pro I worked with was unprepared and unknowledgeable about the taxes I needed assistance with, and told me I would be better off with an outside CPA. I've attempted to contact H and R Block customer service for weeks, but they've passed me around to different branches and parts of the company, that are unable to assist with my needs. I do not feel I've received the tax support that was promised from H&R Block.

DO NOT GO TO THIS, OR ANY, H&R Seattle REGIONAL OFFICES.I will describe my experience briefly below.- I submitted all my tax documents in mid-March and had a virtual appointment with my professional early April- I reached out several times to follow up virtually and via phone and receive no response back- The day before taxes are due, I call and am told my professional is out of office but they will help me with my extension if it is not ready tomorrow and am promised a call back (never received)-I call back the next day (tax day) and am told I'll receive a call back. Around 3 pm PT I get a call saying my tax pro had been let go, my tax return was still pending, and that I was estimated to owe a ton in taxes to the government which they advised I pay end of day to avoid penalties. They tell me to call the Northgate office to resolve my taxes after I file the extension.- I call the office the next week and reach the regional manager, Noah. Noah denies that I supposed to be calling his office until I insist several times those were the instructions I was given; he then tells me they have given my taxes to a third party and gives me a phone number to contact her to have them finished. I tell him I will call the H&R block office every day until I have them filed, and he assures me it will be useless because my taxes are now sitting with this third party individual.- I call this phone number and get no answer. I receive a call back later from a stranger saying the phone number no longer belongs to the tax accountant and to please stop calling this phone. To clarify, that means that Noah and H&R block gave my detailed tax information, including my SSN and income information, to an individual that they themselves are unable to locate or contact. This is an extremely unsafe use of personal information and I am extremely concerned about the privacy practices at the Northgate office in particular.- When I call back, Noah rematches me with a tax pro in the office and tells me I need to come into the office to complete my taxes. I do so and complete most of my tax return with only my NY state tax return left, which required a tax pro licensed in NY, so I am forced to come back- When I come back, I meet with Joel, who greets me by saying "How the f*** am I supposed to help you?". The rest of the conversation continues along that line, with Joel swearing throughout the conversation and gleefully telling me that I wasted my time by coming in and that he would not be able to help me at all. To top it off, Joel also gave me incorrect tax guidance that would have cost me an additional large sum despite this being a return for a state in which he is licensed- I call H&R Block corporate at this point to complain and to ensure that Joel does not have access to my private information as I was genuinely concerned for my safety given his behavior in the office. Corporate taxes my complaint seriously and tells me they will report it to leadership.- Noah calls me, which I miss, and asks me to call him back. I call back and am unable to reach him. I call back multiple times over the next week and he is never in the office.- Eventually I reach him, and he apologizes for the behavior of his employee and offices in general and tells me he has matched me with a new tax pro licensed in NY. I receive their contact information and am told to reach out.- I reach out to this new tax pro and reach her office, where I am told that she is out for the rest of the season and will be returning in October.- I have been calling Noah's office for about 3 weeks, leaving messages and requesting call backs. When I ask employees when he will be back so I can call during that time, they say they have no idea. It is clear the customers, or at least communication with those customers, is not a priority for Noah.- I have reached out to H&R Block corporate once again as I am not confident that Noah or anyone under Noah's jurisdiction will be able to help me resolve my issues.I will update as the situation develops.

Tried working with this office over the phone several times. They could not figure out how to re-work a corrected W2 due to incorrect initial W2 that was filed by my company. It's been over 4 weeks. Each time they say it will take some time or it will take another day . Now they say they can't do anything for several weeks despite deadline being tomorrow. Highly recommend going anywhere else. Will just be using turbo tax despite the fee moving forward.Edit: went to turbo tax spoke with someone over phone. They helped me figure out the W2-C issue in 10 minutes.

Terrible still haven't gotten our refund from 2020 and they lost our documents after dropping them off resulting in us having to file late. Extremely unprofessional. Offered no remedy or support to resolve their error even after calling the customer service number that they post under all negative reviews.

Just the absolute trash heap of all accountants. Garbage customer service, incompetent scheduling protocol, cheapened brand. TurboTax is the way to go.

The instant money I was supposed to receive on a card they gave me is still not available after 3 weeks. I have been back to the office and waited 3 times for this to continuously not be fixed
