HSBC is terminating my credit card because I no longer have a Premier Checking account with them. Their checking account has a $50 inactivity fee. Avoid this if you can.

Poor customer service. They make it far too difficult to get the information or advice you need. The best they can do is to dial the phone for you to talk with an international customer service rep.

Very attentive staff who were most accommodating and answered all my questions when I dropped in earlier today without an appointment.

Came here to open a student account because it is recommended by my student club. And my banker Ms. Feng is very helpful! She explained to me all benefits on the account in great details! Because I am new to the country, she even spent time helped me understand the US countries, how to get involve in school, how to do banking in the US, and much more. Highly recommended for everyone especially international students!

Absolutely what I wanted! I have my account with HSBC since I was a 10-year old when I was in Hong Kong. I came to the US and got stuck here due to COVID and I dont have access to my account because I did not tell my banker in Hong Kong that I am traveling. The banker Ms. Feng, who speaks cantonese, helped me with contacting HSBC HK. And I was finally able to get money with my HK account.

I used to only have an online savings account with HSBC and I came in to apply for the choice checking account and student credit card. The personal banker I spoke with, Syndra, was very knowledgeable and kind. I was offered tea to drink while I opened my accounts and haven't had a problem with my accounts since opening them. When HSBC announced some changes to U.S. accounts, I came in asking about them and the person in front knew all of the details so I didn't even have to wait to be seen in someone's office. I've had great experiences at this branch! Glad I decided not to stay an online-only customer.

I opened an account with HSBC last May because they offered me $375 if I opened an account and maintained a balance of $10,000 for 90 days. It is now late November (6 months later) and I still haven't received the incentive for opening an account. I've called and visited the bank branch, and haven't received an explanation as to why I haven't received the $375. Now my account is being subject to $25 monthly fees. I'm probably going to need to close my account to avoid further fees and possibly never get the bonus offer. I would highly recommend not opening an account with HSBC.

We were site seeing in the area and we had some difficulty with the new ATM machine that was installed. Somehow a component was dislodged and our card was retained. A gentleman named Timothy was at the front to greet and assist us. Despite initial difficulties he was committed to helping us resolve our issue and did so. A friendly smile in an unfamiliar situation can help bring relief.

Stay far away from this bank. You'd be better off using literally anywhere else for your banking needs. I signed up with them for a checking promo and regret ever dealing with them. You couldn't pay me to keep my account with them.
