The most thorough and complete white glove detail service in Seattle hands down. This is not your average detail shop. Brought in my BMW 5 series to get the engine bay and undercarriage pressure washed and cleaned due to a gasket oil leak and Pat went above and beyond with it. When I took it back to my mechanic to get the gasket work done he was amazed at how incredible it looked! He joked he could eat off of the top of the engine bay because it looked brand new. The whole experience dealing with Pat went so smooth, I was incredibly satisfied with the work. Thank you!Services: Auto interior vacuuming

I'm writing a review although I declined to get the work done; I intend to get the work done in the future, if the owner is willing, although that seems unlikely after posting this review. I am choosing to have my say, protect future customers from hurt feelings, and perhaps assist the owner from future sense of outrage. *I regret not having read the website preliminary to meeting Pat. That was truly my mistake. I only focused on all the fabulous rave reviews.* Pat is deeply committed to making all cars be like new again, and the very best they can be. I have no doubt I would go to him when I have the funds in the future. However, as an injured massage therapist unable to work for four months due to a badly fractured wrist and four surgeries, I am barely getting by. After a hiatus from driving due to my injury, getting back in my vehicle, I recalled stories of friends spending $150-200 to detail/heavily clean the inside only of their vehicle. I thought this may help me feel off to a fresh start. I travel with a small dog, and have had my car for 7 years. It also needs some bodywork because I am a lousy parallel parker, and also because the spots are so tight in the Trader Joe's parking lot. I thought we were on the same page on the phone. I was only really interested in having the interior seriously refreshed. When I arrived, Pat seemed quite bothered that I would not be open to thousands of dollars of work, all undoubtedly beneficial to my car. But how would I eat, pay my office rent, my property taxes, insurance, all other basic necessities. Those things were not the point. Pat was so adamant that I felt he was actually indignant to the point of outrage that I wasn't putting my car first. He said it was impossible for him to only address the interior as it would just feel wrong to him. In newly incredibly wealthy Seattle it is all too easy for the very best, most creative, visionary, deeply committed, and neurodivergent among us to forget the forest for the trees. Pat is the person who would make your car like new, if you can afford it. If you can't, don't come here, because he will be mad at you, perhaps disgusted, definitely shaming. Because he will be so uncomfortable with the idea of anything less than the whole shebang, inside and out, that you may - as I did - feel shamed by a stranger for not putting your vehicle before your basic necessities. How dare you? Don't let the door hit you in the a** on the way out. Good riddance. That was what our abrupt good bye felt like. At least I could live out on the street in my pristine vehicle, once I had put the condition of my vehicle before my own well-being, and also could have then been seen through kinder and gentler eyes by Pat. The most important thing in the world is the state of your car, according to Pat. This can be a good or a bad thing.

I have no issue with the work done on my car except him not touching my headlight lenses which are still cloudy. What I have an issue with and what I'd caution other potential customers about is the busines practice of the shop. I saw what they quote for a full detail on there website and while high, I've had other cars detailed by this shop and I know the quality of their work so I said go ahead. After telling me he'd need the car for 3 days, he informed me when I was in an Uber headed to his shop to pick the car up that he'd need it for longer. He said Friday. When I was on my way, again in an Uber, to pick it up Friday, I get a text saying he had to run an errand and would be back by 4pm. So I wait outside for 1/2 hour. Today is Tuesday and I got his invoice. it's for almost double the listed price. I'm getting charged for multiple items that I wasn't told about nor authorized. My suggestion is to get a written estimate so you won't be shocked. You also might want to record any conversations as the owner has a sketchy memory.

Pat and the team did a great job with my car. They really go the extra mile. When I picked up my car Pat told me that his goal is always to make the car feel like it only has 100 miles on it, and I can say they definitely achieved that goal. Thanks for going above and beyond!

My car had a terrible leak and water overflowed from my trunk, spilling underneath the carpeting of the entire vehicle. I called around and learned that many shops don't know how to treat this issue properly. Island Detail is one of the few shops that knows what they're doing when it comes to cleaning up water leaks. You have to pull back the carpeting, dry everything out, and replace the pads. Not every shop will bother with this effort, but it's necessary unless you want mold growing in your vehicle (or worse).Pat got me into his shop when everyone else was booked out. He fixed the issue quickly, went over all the costs with me in detail, and was communicative throughout.The leak was coming from multiple sources, and it took a few tries to properly troubleshoot the problem and resolve all the leaks, but Pat saw me through until the issue was fully resolved.This is what I would call good, old-fashioned service. It's clear that Pat knows his stuff and has been doing this work longer than most in Seattle.I highly recommend Island Detail.Service: Auto detailing

Someone vandalized my car with a rock - essentially scratched the clear coat all along the drivers side of the car. Owner of this business was busy, but came out to quote me and gave me his honest feedback. Took his time explaining his thoughts and rationales. Did a great job and priced well. Pat and his team were a pleasure to work with. My Subaru had water intrusion from a sunroof drain clog which was quite a stressful problem to solve. I consider myself lucky by finding this shop, they went the extra mile! I highly recommend this business.

Pat and his team at Island Detail are beyond the best. I had a car interior that I thought was unsalvageable. His team pulled out the interior and cleaned it. It now looks better than it did when it was new! I cannot recommend them highly enough. Thank you Island Detail!
