There were over 8 people in like and 6 people doing apparently not much while one teller struggled with another over her shoulder helping.

I should've got her name to mention how BAD she is, so she can learn how to be nice to her customers. Other bank tellers were nice but this one lady with attitudes.. that's why this branch deserves one star. That's it.

I want to open a checking/savings account. I first went to the branch in the Russell Investment Center. The lady was SO nice but said she had an appointment coming in 15 minutes and she didn't feel she had the time available to do a good job for me. She called the branch at 1201 Third and asked if they could see me right away. She actually walked me to the other branch (it was only a block) and introduced them to me and asked them to take good care of me. Then, they tell me they're just finishing up with someone it will be 5 minutes. Then they come back after 7 minutes to tell me they really need another 20 minutes. I would NOT have come to this branch if they didn't have the time but they said they did. On my way to Key Bank - they actually want me to open an account!

Note to Super Tellers/"Personal Bankers": if a customer comes in to ask you a question regarding their account, don't let the first question from you be, "Did you call the number on the back of your card?". Likely I did and wasn't able to get the issue resolved. Then said Super Teller proceeds to call and is told to "Google it" regarding the issue I came in about. Really? This place is like a tomb. I felt sorry for the nice young Teller who initially helped me. Makes me want to pay off my 0% auto loan asap and be done with Chase!

Been waiting about 25 mins so I have time to check out other reviews and write my own. I was greeted right away and directed to the waiting area. Everyone seems very nice, but no one available to help me with a name change. I see a few people working, not with customers, but they must not be the bankers I need. The wait is just too long. Just left - would be nice if they had at least one banker working Walk-ins. A man was very apologetic on my way out, but he too, while not with a customer, cannot complete a name change for me. Appointments appear to be the thing now, and the only way to get help. Walked into BECU, signed in, and was helped after a short wait- just enough time for me to take off my coat and take a seat. They even printed me new permanent cards, with my new name, on the spot.

I have to go to this branch a out once a week. It's in a convenient location. I wish there was a closer bank. Maybe a credit union. Anyways I have plenty of time to write a Yelp review. It's a slow bank. People are always nice. Just make sure you have plenty of time. They're always understaffed.

I walked in, tried to find a banker to do something with my checking account, but I was told to wait for a little, then, I keep waiting, waiting, someone told me be patient, then walked away, I am still waiting here while writing this Yelp review. I guess they should provide console games to their customers who waiting there too long!

""Hello we are currently assisting other customers, please call back."" I have been trying for hours to reach a human being at Chase Bank aka JP MORGAN CHASE. I have tried the 3rd Ave branch the 2nd Ave Branch the various other branches. I keep getting the same blasted recording. Can't they at least say "Thank you for calling Chase Bank. All of our operators are busy right now. Please call back later." The out going message "Hello we are currently assisting customers right now" This generic message should have the banks name on it. There should also be an option to leave a message. If I didn't have my home loan through Chase I would dump them in heartbeat. Trust me when my mortgage is paid off I am out of Chase. POOF just like that. They are cutting back on staff and their customer service is getting really crappy of late. A week ago I wanted to make a payment on my credit card and the teller could not find my account he spent 10 minutes trying to find it. I had to go in the following Monday took the other teller less than a minute to look it up. Good grief Charlie Brown, do they not care about their customers any more.? Now I have to trek all they way to the bank to do something I used to be able to do on the phone. YETCH...An amendment to my posting from the other day.......... 6-30 I wanted to update my review. I went down to Chase at 1201 3rd and a very gracious young man assisted me. His name is Nicholas R. Brooks. He was puzzled by the fact that I was having so much trouble getting through to a human at the bank and was getting this recording telling customers to call back.. At any rate he helped my out with taking care of my investment account. Nicholas Brooks you are like a breath of fresh air. Great customer service skills, I see you going far up the ladder in this world we live in. Best to you for helping me out and for being so gracious. BTW Nicholas tackled a problem in the Financial area he had not dealt with before. Many thanks Nicholas. Carol B.

Review is for this particular location, not all Chase banks in general. Apparently, the "banking with Chase is now easier than ever with ATM check deposit" is a mandate on customer behavior, not an optional bonus feature. Came into this branch, went to the desk to fill out a deposit slip (there's a stack of them there, so this so far appears to be an option), then stood behind the barrier to wait my turn. There's only one person working, but there's not a line or anything, just me waiting, which I don't mind. A new person appears and tells me to come over to the newly opened window. He passed me the little thing to slide my card and I hand over the deposit slip and signed check. And he tells me to go out to the ATM to do this. REJECTED!? Depositing a check like a normal person is NOT an option (despite stacks of deposit slips available at multiple deposit slip stations). The branch was not busy, the person being served when I first arrived the only other customer. This was rude, uncalled for, and poor customer service.

I came by this location for a standard fee reversal. I use my account on a daily basis for multiple businesses as well as my full time employment checks. I haven't had a fee reversal in the 10 years I've been a customer (WaMu and so forth). I haven't even been hit with a fee at all this entire period. For the first time, I got a very nominal fee that I know a banker can resolve with ease. What I thought would be a standard reversal instead required me having to wait 20 minutes and also having to talk to not one, not two, but three people before I was told that they won't do it. The teller says, wait for the banker. The banker comes along to help, then says, wait for the supervisor. Finally, the supervisor comes along and says, no can do. I say I want to close my account - she smiles, and says, no problem. I'm right now in the process of moving all my business over to Bank of America, a bank that's waived over $100 in fees for me over 2 years that I've been a customer with them. I came to this Chase to see if they'd waive a $12 fee for a long-time customer with no such requests in 10 years of being a customer, and taking in mind that all my direct deposits and billpays are set up with them. I'm no longer a Chase customer. After the service at this location, it was an easy decision to close the account - it'll also be an easy decision not to use any Chase tied credit cards anymore (though I won't go out and close those).

I just moved to Seattle area from Hawaii and decided to go with Chase because they offered a monetary deposit if you initiated a checking account with them. I went after work so I was not in a hurry. The banker that I met with was very friendly, informative and made the transition very easy. I was impressed with the overall appeal of the bank and the staffs overall appearance and professionalism. Im not sure if this bank was bad in the past, but I really enjoyed the experience.

If I am not mistaken, this is the branch that Chase just remodeled and made it a VIP Branch or something like that. Nice floor plan, nice design and very professional look. I had a good service when I went there. Yes, they will try to help you with more products but this is their job. Overall , great staff.
