Very disrespectful employees and they will lie until you get down there to cash your check. They don't tell you that they don't accept temporary ID until you go to the branch. They make it very frustrating

This is the WORST bank I have ever felt with. I've called and complained so many times and they just completely ignore and talk over you. It has been nothing but trouble from the start. I cannot wait to be done with this bank and I will always suggest to go elsewhere.

Terrible experience on modification request for a HELOC. Disorganized and Dysfunctional start to finish. Don't waste your time on this bank/lender. They are too busy trying not to answer the phone to do their job. Sad thing, they used to be so much better.

I deposited $1080 to my KeyBank checking account on 6/29 & they are holding the funds until 7/7. They say they can't release the funds because their system won't let them. This HAS to be illegal! I requested to close my account and I was told I cannot close it while they are holding my funds. Worst bank I've ever dealt with. Will never return.

I had an awful experience with Keybank. After years (decades?) of doing business with Keybank, I'm leaving Keybank and not looking back. I processed a $189 chargeback against a company with which I had a subscription that I cancelled, but continued to bill me. Keybank claimed the company provided them proof that they had the legal standing to process the charge, (proof I started a subscription). I had no way of proving I cancelled it, as I closed my account on the company's website, and hadn't used their services in well over a year. Keybank's decision is absurd, and completely inconsistent with their customer-centric marketing. My advice would be to consider my experience when choosing who to bank with. Now I must go through the process of finding a new bank. It's a pain, but I refuse to continue with Keybank after this.

Avoid at all costs. I have had a CC with Key for more than 10 years and they have never automatically raised my CL. To begin with, I had a very tiny CL to use when I opened the card as a teen/young adult, but my credit has grown so much over that time, and this is the only archaic company who refuses to modernize, and only accepts CLI requests via phonecalls and other pointless ways. I also answered a ton of questions on the phonecall, and they declined me anyway. What a waste of time and space, silly, very not with-it institution. Just do not do this to yourself!!!

Went in to get some 10s 5s and 1s for some 20s as I am vending around the corner at a winter market and was told that they will not do that because I do not have an account with them. Honestly it wasn’t even what he said, that they wouldn’t do it, it was the entire interaction. From the moment I walked in the door I was treated like I had no business being there and was intruding on whatever it is they were doing; this was prior to it even being established that I didn’t have an account there. I see why so many people have problems with this bank. Lesson learned I guess.

I had a credit card payment due on November 11th. I thought I paid the bill. I did not and I hold myself accountable for that. I bought some stuff for the house today and my card was declined! I was not even a month late and I even paid on the spot while on the phone with a representative!!! My credit limit on this card is decent. I do not utilize even half of the balance on this credit card. No warning on my app to give me an opportunity to make a payment and avoid my card being turned off. NOTHING. What if God forbid, I had been out and had an emergency and needed to use my credit card?! I can't rely on this card at all if I ever space it again which is very rare that I forget. Now my card will not be turned on for two business days until they have received my payment. They should be able to turn it back on the spot. i am already paying the late fee so what gives?! I am furious. I plan to close all of my accounts and take my business elsewhere. Do not bank with Key. Sorry, not sorry. Happy Thanksgiving, y'all!

I have never experienced what I have banking with this specific location.I plan to close my accounts and be done with them.I am so disappointed with how they have treated me as a customer and I have been with them for like 5 years.I have worked for the same company and direct deposited funds but for some reason I have had 2 issues depositing paper checks.Today they charged me 2 atm charges yet it was the Flippin Keybank atm.Wth is going on with you all.You need to step up with customer service because even other locations couldn’t explain to me why you have gave me the type of customer service you have. They have even called to try and get answers themself.I myself have left a message for management and never heard back from them.

Don't set Zelle up through Key Bank. They will hold you funds for over a week and say they can't do anything to help. They are all robots.

I am Financial POA for my 91 year so old Aunt. She is no longer physically nor mentally able to go to the branch, nor fully able to comprehend what is being done regarding her accounts. My POA gives me complete ability to work as her attorney in fact on her finances including cashing in all monies and all access to accounts and safe deposit boxes. It is time to start cashing in 30 year series EE treasury bonds. On August 16, 2022, I went to the branch alone my aunt felt unwell that day and I was to withdraw a series EE bond to cash in - in a large denomination. I had documentation showing that I have the right to cash in all money and it actually says specifically in the POA treasury bonds because we have those, and the branch manager refused to cash and deposit the funds in savings. When I ask why he simply wouldn't answer and I believe that it was very much based on race. I believe that he is a bigoted racist and thought that I was trying to abscond with my aunts money when I have more than enough of my own. When I complain he simply gave me a one 800 number and said call this number. Later I return d to the branch with my aunt who was very upset because she had sent me to the branch to do her bidding, and she looked at the branch manager and she said "I don't understand this is my money" and his response to her was "that's right ma'am, it's your money" which was a very telling statement that he thought that I was trying to do some thing to abscond with my dear Aunt's money.. I am taking it upon myself to ensure that the gentleman receives a coaching moment if not a foot out the door. Do not do business with this particular branch they are highly unprofessional, and your POA is not treated legally.

I have NEVER in my life banked with a bank that literally no matter what you got here for they screw it up. No matter what, it's THE most disorganized and screwed up financial institution EVER!

Used an Atm at the Kroger on Rockville Rd. It kept $60 of my withdrawal and after a good half hour on the phone with them, they disconnected me. Called them and was basically told that I was screwed out of my money. GODDAMN THIEVING CRIMINALS.

Key Bank has mailed three offers to my father (who lived at my house) in the past six months; $500 bonus to open a new checking account. Nice deal, but my father could not take advantage of it because he passed away almost two years before he began receiving their mailings. Since I am his son, and live at the address that Key mailed to, and was in the market for a new checking account, I thought I would take Key up on their offer. Was I ever so wrong! I have talked with three different CSR's and one branch manager, and all refused to honor the promotion. They told me, only my long ago deceased father is eligible for the $500 promotion - not his live son who resides at the same address.

I wish there was a "no stars" option. I had a truck loan through Keybank. I bought a new vehicle on May 17th, and the remaining two years of truck payments through Keybank was fully paid off. On May 26th, they still took the $500 truck payment from my bank account anyway. I called immediately, expressed my frustration that they stole $500 from my account right before Memorial Day weekend. I'm a father of 4, and $500 is a lot of money to be missing. The first customer service rep I talked to told me, "I don't know why you're so upset, it's not like we can keep it." It is now June 15th, and I still have not gotten my $500 back. I have talked to multiple people at Key Bank's customer service and supervisors. I was constantly given different information as to when I would be getting my money back. Some were at least somewhat helpful, but some were rude. When I asked for a supervisor to one rep, I was told, "Why, they are just doing to tell you the same thing I just did." and then she hung up on me. As of today, supposedly the check was written yesterday and mailed. But when all is said and done, they stole $500 of my money for a month. I would love to say that I have enough money that $500 missing doesn't affect me, but it did greatly. I absolutely need that money. I will never use Keybank again for anything. I am disgusted by their actions and they way they handled it.
