About Kingfisher Natural Area on Thornton Creek
Kingfisher Natural Area on Thornton Creek is an amazing green space in a residential area, offering a lush, scrappier version of nearby parks. While the trail heads are somewhat hidden and the path slightly overgrown, this oasis provides a peaceful escape, with a creek and wildlife like the spotted Barred Owl. The area can be muddy, especially in the winter, so proper footwear is recommended for both hikers and their dogs.
